Abstract: A folder of a type opened in presenting 8 {fraction (1/2 )} by 11 inch documents to a business associate or other interested party, in which a side and bottom edge of the documents are previously manually inserted into cooperating isosceles triangles along the side and bottom of the folder, the manual insertion being to the extent of wedging the thickness of the documents along the side and bottom edges into a gripping engagement with the progressively diminishing clearance between the converging sides of the isosceles triangles, to the end of maintaining a neat appearance in the folder both prior to and in the subsequent presentation of the documents.

Abstract: Transporting items of bulk, i.e., stacked documents or boxed merchandise, which vary in extent from time to time, in an envelope that gives a desired favorable appearance of containing an item of bulk that is greater than the bulk of the item that is actually the content of the envelope, which motivates the recipient to open the envelope. The envelope is rectangular and at least along three sides has isosceles shaped gussets characterized by progressively diminishing clearance between the sides in the direction of the apex, so that the thickness or bulk of the item in the envelope is effectively engaged by the sides of the isosceles triangles before significant shifting, particularly of stacked documents, can occur as might diminish the perceived bulk based on the external appearance of the envelope.

Abstract: An assemblage of a "jewel box"-packaged CD and a point-of-sales cardboard holder in the use of which holder a CD replicator loads the CD through a front opening into an internal box-like configuration having an interposed position between an external book-like configuration, and wherein both mentioned configuration components of the holder are adapted to advantageously be shipped flat to the replicator's facility to facilitate transportation and storage handling, and wherein further the flat condition is the result of not closing a rear opening of the box-like configuration which has no adverse consequence because a spine means of the book-like configuration serves as a closure for this rear opening when used in its intended book mode.

Abstract: As a substitute for a plastic so-called "jewel box" holder for a compact disc (CD), a holder entirely of biodegradable cardboard construction material (1) fabricated from a blank (2) delineated into panels (3) folded into a multi-ply configuration having a compartment for the CD (4) die-cut out of the configuration using a so-called "kiss cut" which provides the compartment sized and shaped to have the CD seated therein on a bottom compartment closure provided by one of the panels left intact using the "kiss cut" die-cut, such that the attributes and fabrication options of cardboard construction material are used to maximum advantage.

The blank is adapted to be folded along the edges and having the second interconnecting side panel adhesively secured to the tab to form a box bounding a compartment beneath the central display panel closable by the side panels and having the wing panels foldable in overlapping relationship over the central display panel.

Abstract: A paperboard container for use in direct mail advertising or in direct sampling of products, in which product samples are distributed to the consumer in a container which includes side panels held closed upon a sample-carrying plastic foam body by a transversely oriented closed loop disposed in encircling relation thereabout, so that while protecting the samples against breakage the container can flex to a limited degree because of limited relative movement of the side panels beneath the closed loop. The flexuring significantly contributes to proper handling of the container during distribution through normal channels of trade to the consumer.
