  • Patent number: 7270167
Abstract: A metallic shell used, for example as a mold, is formed by spray deposition of metallic layers over non-metallic layers as, for example, a reinforcing fabric.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 3, 2004
Date of Patent: September 18, 2007
    Assignee: GMIC Corp.
    Inventors: Edmund Aversenti, Allen Solomon
  • Publication number: 20060210718
Abstract: A spray deposition method of making a metal mold is disclosed. The method includes spraying alternating lower and higher density layers of metallic material to form a mold.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 21, 2005
    Publication date: September 21, 2006
    Applicant: General Magnaplate Corporation
Inventors: Edmund Aversenti, Allen Solomon, Charles Covino
  • Patent number: 5817267
Abstract: A method for fabricating a mold by providing a matrix having a shape to be molded, and spraying molten metal from a spray gun. The spray gun is moved so that the spray gun makes successive passes over the surface of the matrix in a movement direction, shifts in a step direction transverse to the movement direction between passes and turns between passes so that during at least some successive passes metal is deposited from two spray directions in a crisscross pattern. Metal is deposited on the matrix, forming a shell which is removed from the matrix and used as a mold.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 1996
Date of Patent: October 6, 1998
    Assignee: General Magnaplate Corporation
Inventors: Charles P. Covino, Edmund V. Aversenti, Gaylon Pleasant, Allen Solomon
  • Patent number: 4754711
Abstract: An adaptable frame, for mounting of equipments, keyboards, displays, accessories, printed material, and other paraphernalia is disclosed. The frame contains supports having uprights and braces to which are connected crossbars. Either brackets or a shelf for holding equipment and material may be mounted on each crossbar to suit the needs of the user. The frame can easily and rapidly disassembled and assembled without tools. It disassembles into a few parts, i.e. two uprights, two braces, the crossbars with attached brackets, and shelves, for ease of transportation, handling and storage. The shelves are longitudinally hinged so that they may be folded for greater ease in handling when the frame is disassembled. The number and positioning of crossbars, brackets and shelves can be varied to meet the needs of the user. A compartmentalized carrying bag may be supplied for ease of storage and transportation.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4669691
Abstract: An adjustable keyboard stand adapted to simultaneously support more than one keyboard in front of a musician and allow for immediate access to all of the supported keyboards. The tubular construction of the keyboard stand, which completely disassembles for easy transportation and storage, includes two side supports with at least one cross spar supported therebetween by a pair of cooperatively acting clamping means mounted on the side supports. The configuration of the pair of cooperatively acting clamping means, which support the cross spar in front of the plane formed by the front of the side supports, allows the distance between the side supports to be varied, while also allowing for easy positioning, installation and removal of additional cross spars without having to disassemble the stand.
