  • Patent number: 7121941
Abstract: A resilient rubber finger and a locking mechanism therefore for use in poultry processing plants for the plucking of feathers off poultry is provided. The rubber-plucking finger is comprised of an oversized base without an annular recess, and a tapered furrowed shank. A plurality of fingers is inserted into a support base through apertures therein. The diameter of the shank proximate the base is substantially equal to the diameter of the support base aperture to ease insertion and removal. A backing plate is provided to abut the rear of the support plate preventing accidental displacement of the rubber finger from the support plate. The support plate is attached to the backing plate using an integrated centrifugal locking mechanism within the backing plate.

  • Patent number: 6212612
Abstract: A system and method for multi-channel data management with dynamically configurable routing, having multiple independent container instances or crossbars. The system and method provide dynamically allocated and released half- and full-duplex data communications channels through crossbar access ports, with intercommunications between transmit ports and receive ports being independently configured. Transmission and reception of data is provided through the reserving of pages of transmission media, allocation of pages to producers of data, transmission of the filled pages to a queue for reception at one or more receiving ports, and reception by a consumer through a receiving port. Allocation, transmission and reception of the pages may optionally be executed synchronous to the availability of the page. Page state changes are used to mark pages as to their availability, allocation, and queuing such that data transfer is accomplished using an in-place method.

  • Patent number: 4990076
Abstract: A pressure control apparatus suitable for controlling pressures in autoclaves permits a plurality of autoclaves to be selectably pressurized from a single pressurizing circuit. The apparatus can be externally controlled to more efficiently multiplex autoclaves to the pressurizing circuit and to more efficiently implement different pressure schedules for the autoclaves. Once a pressure has been set for an autoclave maintained in communication with the main pressurizing circuit, the apparatus automatically monitors the position of the pump piston and resets it from either of its extreme limits of movement to maintain pressure at a desired set point. Corresponding methods are also disclosed.
