  • Patent number: 11935533
Abstract: Techniques are described for maintaining contextual data to support content-related actions. In an example, a system stories second content at a source. The source is associated with first content. The system sends, to a device, an object that indicates the first content. From the device at a first time, the system receives first data indicating a first request for the second content and including source information that indicates the source. From the device at a second time, the system receives second data indicating a second request for the second content, the second data including the source information, the first data and the second data received at a frequency indicated by the object. The system determines that the requests are associated with the first content based on the source information included in the received data, and stores third data indicating a presentation of the first content by the device.

  • Patent number: 11481188
Abstract: Systems and methods for application launch delays and notifications are disclosed. For example, a URL link to enable an application may be selected on a user device, and a user interface allowing the user to enable the application at a current time or at a future time may be displayed. When the user input indicates selection of the future time, a notification may be generated and provided to the user device and/or the voice interface device. The voice interface device may output the notification and, when user input indicates an intent to enable the application, the application may be enabled for use by the voice interface device.

  • Patent number: 8648759
Abstract: Provided herein are devices, systems and techniques for establishing a variable height conformal antenna array having a planar backplane. More particularly, positioning of radiating elements can be made insensitive to variable ground height by selecting a suitable radiating element, such as a flared notch and arranging them to have a profile such that their outer extremities are positioned along a conformal, curved shape. Differences in radiator heights can be taken up by the addition of parallel vertical ground planes disposed between the radiating elements and the backplane. Adjacent vertical ground planes effectively form cutoff waveguide sections that naturally isolate the backplane from the radiating elements. The vertical ground planes edges effectively form a virtual curved ground for the radiating elements, following curvature of the array profile. Accordingly, heights of radiating elements are uniform with respect to the virtual ground, while being allowed to vary with respect to the backplane.

  • Patent number: 8509422
Abstract: System and method for encoding status signals in DC voltage levels is provided. The value of a status indicator received on status signals are encoded as a series of pulses, and the voltage level from a power source, such as a power supply or a rechargeable battery, is modulated in accordance with the series of pulses. In an embodiment, the voltage level from the power source is varied between two levels, both of which are acceptable power levels. The drops in the voltage levels represent the value of the status indicator. On the receiving end, the power signal is translated into a logical voltage level and converted to a digital value. The digital value is decoded into the status indicator.

  • Publication number: 20130082893
Abstract: Provided herein are devices, systems and techniques for establishing a coincident-phased dual polarization array aperture enabling a wide scan capability, while also presenting a bandwidth of at least about 40%. Radiating elements of such an array include a first ground plane extending between lower and upper edges and a first radiating element positioned above the upper edge of the first ground plane. The array elements also include a second ground plane extending between respective lower and upper edges and disposed substantially orthogonal to the first ground plane. A second radiating element is positioned above the upper edge of the second ground plane, such that the first and second radiating elements have different polarizations. Parallel ground planes of adjacent antenna elements of an array of like elements enhance array performance by providing isolation between such radiating elements and backplane ground by way of a phenomenon generally known as waveguide-below-cutoff.

  • Patent number: 8078057
Abstract: In one aspect, a method for congestion avoidance in a passive optical network having an optical line terminal communicatively connected to a plurality of optical network termination devices is provided. A dynamic bandwidth allocation information is periodically requested from the optical network termination device and the optical line terminator receives the response to the request. An adjusted bandwidth allocation for the optical network termination device is determined by the optical line terminator. The optical line terminator determines a packet-drop command to be taken at the optical network termination device. The adjusted bandwidth allocation and the packet-drop command are sent to the optical network termination device.

  • Publication number: 20070274718
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses consistent with the present invention facilitate the transition from a legacy network to an upgraded network by providing a converter that communicates between the legacy network and the upgraded network. The converter is provisioned such that legacy devices, such as Optical Network Units (ONUs), appear as upgraded devices to the upgraded network, while the upgraded network looks like a legacy network to the legacy devices.

  • Patent number: 6127984
Abstract: An improved injection molded radiator assembly and antenna assembly can be made using multiple such radiator assemblies. The radiator assembly includes an injection molded radiator enclosure that forms an RF waveguide channel. A circuit/RF probe subassembly is mated to the radiator enclosure that houses a circulator assembly, input and output connectors, and an RF probe. An environmental plug is disposed in the radiator enclosure to seal the RF waveguide channel from the external environment.
