  • Publication number: 20070086206
Abstract: A light guiding structure for optical fiber includes a stage, a plurality of light-guiding pipes and a base. The stage is defined with a plurality of through holes defined through upper face and lower face of the stage. The plurality of light-guiding pipes are arranged atop the plurality of through holes and each contains a plurality of optical fibers. A plurality of light emitting elements is arranged on the base and is received in the plurality of through holes when the stage is assembled with the base. Each of the light emitting elements is aligned with one light-guiding pipe. The light emitting elements can be controlled by external circuit for emitting light of multiple colors and the light is guided to remote place by the optical fibers to produce colorful visual effect.

  • Publication number: 20070086700
Abstract: An optical fiber array includes two more glass containers each with a cylindrical shape. Each container contains an optical fiber, including a convex face on outer side thereof to provide light focusing effect. Four straight bridging sections are extended symmetrically from the container and one bridging section is connected to another container to form an array-type base. Moreover, the bridging section can be an assembling and locking structure to form base with flexible shape.

  • Publication number: 20070071387
Abstract: An optical fiber array device includes a substrate provided with a plurality of accommodating regions and a plurality of optical fibers each provided in the accommodating region of the substrate. One end of the accommodating region is provided with an opening communicating with the other surface of the substrate, and the other end of the accommodating region is provided with a light-focusing element in the substrate. The light-emitting face of each optical fiber corresponds to the light-focusing element of each accommodating region. With this structure, the optical fibers can be easily positioned on the substrate, and the light-focusing elements are used to produce better effects in light focusing and illuminating.

  • Publication number: 20060146539
Abstract: A direct backlight module for a flat panel monitor includes a first plate, an opposite second plate, and an illuminating layer that is sandwiched between the first plate and the second plate. The first plate is preferably a reflector. The second plate is preferably a diffuser. The illumination layer may be a single layer cold light plate, or a multi-layer cold light plate, or a LED plate that comprises a planar substrate, a plurality of LED bare chips, and a BEF sheet. The LED bare chips are mounted on one surface of the planar substrate, and the BEF sheet is then secured onto the planar substrate, thereby encapsulating the LED bare chips between the planar substrate and the BEF sheet.
