Abstract: Embodiments of methods, apparatuses, devices, and/or systems for performing Parameter Assisted, Image-Guided Surgery (PAIGS) are described. In one particular embodiment, a method of performing PAIGS comprises accessing image data for a surgical object, receiving one or more instrument parameters for a surgical instrument from one or more sensors coupled to the instrument, receiving one or more in situ parameters for the surgical object from one or more sensors coupled to the instrument, providing one or more instrument parameters, in situ parameters, and/or at least a portion of the image data to a registration device, and displaying an image of at least a portion of the instrument parameters, in situ parameters and/or image data on a display device.
