The gaming system further includes a controller coupled to the display and programmed to determine a bonus multiplier and a bonus eligibility time for the player based on a base wager. At least one of the bonus multiplier and the bonus eligibility time is a function of both the base wager and the play wager. A bonus game is triggered and, if sufficient bonus eligibility time is available to the player when the bonus game is triggered, the player is allowed to participate in the bonus game. In response to receiving a player selection, the bonus multiplier is modified based on changes to the bonus eligibility time.

Each of the plurality of symbols is selected from a set of available symbols, the set of available symbols including a plurality of standard symbols and at least one mystery symbol. The method further comprises detecting the presence of the at least one mystery symbol in at least one of the symbol positions in the array and randomly selecting one replacement symbol from the plurality of standard symbols. The method further comprises replacing all occurrences of the at least one mystery symbol in the array with the replacement symbol to create a modified array and evaluating the modified array for winning combinations of standard symbols in accordance with a pay table of the wagering game.

The symbols on the plurality of objects are initially hidden from a player. Each of a plurality of stations is associated with one of the plurality of symbols and each of the plurality of stations receives the objects bearing the associated symbols. A wager input is received from the player for a selected one of the plurality of stations. After receiving the wager input, the objects to be revealed are randomly selected. The symbols are revealed and the objects bearing the revealed symbols are moved to the stations associated with the symbols on the revealed objects. The player is provided with a first award in response to a predetermined number of the revealed objects appearing in the selected one of the plurality of stations.
