  • Publication number: 20090029832
Abstract: A brake assembly for exercise cycling apparatus comprises rotor means (2) with at least one pair of magnetic elements (4, 4?) adapted to be rotated about a longitudinal axis (X) by a user who applies a driving torque thereon, stator means (3) adapted to cooperate with the at least one pair of magnetic elements (4, 4?) to generate a resistance torque adapted to oppose the above driving torque, guide means (7) associated to the rotor means (2) to cause translation of the magnet elements (4, 4?) along respective directions (d, d?) having at least one radial component to cause variation of the resistance torque proportionally to the driving torque. The magnetic elements (4, 4?) are reciprocally coupled to make the displacement thereof along directions (d, d?) mutually dependent and with substantially the same length (l, l?).

  • Patent number: 6854629
Abstract: A support structure for bicycle bottles includes a three-dimensional supporting cage frame (2) and anchoring structure (6, 7) for securing to a bicycle frame. The supporting structure (2) has a rear post (3) with two arms (4, 5) extending from its upper end, the arms being substantially symmetrical and diverging from each other. The arms (4, 5) are at least partially bent upwardly, forwardly and downwardly in order to embrace the lateral wall of a bottle (B), the lower end portions (8, 9) of the arms converge and are connected to each other to form a lower appendix (10) directed towards the post (3) that is suitable to support the bottom wall of the bottle (B). The arms (4, 5) and the post (3) are positioned over a substantially cylindrical surface whose inner diameter (D) is slightly larger than the outer diameter (Ø) of the bottle (B).

  • Patent number: 6164469
Abstract: A thermal insulated bottle comprising an inner container (2) adapted to receive a liquid, enclosed within an outer housing (3) and coupled thereto by sealing connection elements (4) to define therebetween a substantially airtight hollow space (5), ornamental and/or indicating elements (20,21) associated with the bottle and visible from the outside. The ornamental and/or indicating elements (20,21) are located within the hollow space (5). At least a part of the housing (3) is made of a uniform material transparent to light, chosen among thermoplastics materials including polyethylene, polypropylenes, PVC, polycarbonate. The ornamental elements consist of a label or film (20) made of paper, plastics and other similar materials, loosely inserted within the hollow space (5). The indicating elements comprise thermometric element (21) consisting of a heatsensitive band (22) affixed to the outer surface of the lateral wall (6) of the inner container (2).

  • Patent number: 5931334
Abstract: Double-walled thermal container, comprising a first inner vessel inserted in a second outer vessel. The two vessels are connected by a connecting element so as to form a vacuum interspace between the inner and outer vessels.

  • Patent number: 5792030
Abstract: A braked roller device for cycling training includes a roller (2) that is rotatably mounted on a support (3) with a substantially horizontal axis (a), and anchored to a stand (4) that is suitable to support the driving wheel (R) of a bicycle so that it is raised from the ground and in contact with the roller (2). A brake (17) is rigidly coupled to the support (3) and acts on the roller (2) to simulate resistance to forward motion. The brake (17) includes a rotor with smooth surfaces, which is rigidly coupled to the roller (2) and is accommodated in a chamber that is closed hermetically and partially filled with a viscous fluid. The rotor is constituted by one or more disks with substantially flat and parallel side faces made of relatively rigid material, each part being optionally provided with two or more lateral holes for the controlled flow of the fluid.
