Patents by Inventor Alois Dotzer

Alois Dotzer has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 8439985
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a fuel from vegetable oil in order to operate of diesel internal combustion engines. In said method, the oleaginous fruit is pressed, and the dripping oil is filtered. According to the invention, the dripping vegetable oil containing the cloudy matter is mixed with a clay material in a first step before being filtered and is filtered in a second step.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 23, 2007
Date of Patent: May 14, 2013
    Assignee: Waldland-Vermarktungsgesellschaft m.b.H.
Inventors: Georg Gruber, Thomas Kaiser, Alois Dotzer
  • Patent number: 7954477
Abstract: A diesel cycle internal combustion engine can be operated with a variety of fuels having different boiling points and different viscosity-temperature characteristic curves, with a fuel circuit that includes a fuel tank, a fuel pump, a fuel line, at least one fuel filter, a high-pressure pump, an injection system device and a return line to return fuel to the fuel tank, where a control valve is provided in the return line for dividing or diverting the fuel flow to the fuel tank and/or to the fuel filter, and where the fuel division or diversion is undertaken as a function of the viscosity of the fuel in use such that the fuel filter will thence be heated to a temperature based on heat transfer from the fuel in use, and further where a pressure relief valve is provided between the fuel filter and the high-pressure pump.

  • Publication number: 20100063708
Abstract: The invention proceeds from a diesel cycle internal combustion engine that can be operated with a fuel having a low ignition point and a fuel having a higher ignition point, with at least one fuel tank (1), with a fuel pump (7), with a high-pressure pump (11), with an injection system (12) and with an electronic controller (17) in which different control parameters for operation with the fuel having the low ignition point and for operation with the fuel having the higher ignition point are stored. According to the invention, control parameters (19, 20) for the start of injection are stored in the electronic controller (17), wherein the start of injection for the fuel having the higher ignition point is retarded relative to the start of injection for the fuel having the low ignition point exclusively in the high-load range or exclusively in the medium-load and high-load ranges.
