  • Patent number: 5073736
Abstract: A motor for a pump, especially a pump for a drum, barrel, or other tanks or containers. The motor has a housing in which a rotor is surrounded by a stator. The motor is an electronically commutated direct current motor that has no brushes. The switch or control device of the motor is an electronic switch or control device that is accommodated in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4875827
Abstract: A fluid pump has a casing and a support tube mounted within the casing. A rotatably mounted drive shaft is inserted through the support tube and has a propeller mounted on one end thereof for moving fluid through the pump. A helical shaped bearing is seated between the drive shaft and the support tube for supporting the shaft and permitting fluid flow therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4854834
Abstract: A pump has a rotor-carrying pump shaft rotatably supported within an internal pipe by a plurality of spaced bearings. A lowermost bearing is located in the vicinity of the rotor near the end of the internal pipe. Adjacent to the lowermost bearing is a seal provided in a reduced-pressure chamber within the internal pipe, the chamber being closed off at the lower end by the bearing juxtaposed to the rotor. The reduced-pressure chamber is connected to an outlet opening in an external pipe which surrounds the internal pipe and is spaced therefrom to provide a transport channel for effluent material being moved by the rotating rotor.

  • Patent number: 4669953
Abstract: A pump having a main shaft which is rotatably supported in a support housing via support bearings. The support bearings are provided with passages which are connected via discharge openings with the space around the pump. As a result, no pressure can build up between the support bearings and a bearing disposed at the lower end of the shaft. Medium which during operation of the pump gets by the seals and the support bearings can flow off out of the pump through these passages and the discharge openings.

  • Patent number: 4530641
Abstract: The pump has a drive shaft which is supported in a support housing by at least an upper bearing and a lower bearing. One end of the drive shaft is connected to a rotor disposed in a rotor chamber which borders the lower bearing and from which at least one lifting duct runs parallel to the support housing in the direction of the drive unit and an outlet for the pumped fluid. The free cross section of the support housing above the lower bearing is extended by at least one clearance gap which projects into the lifting duct and which is blocked off against the flow of liquid in the lifting duct.

  • Patent number: 4341503
Abstract: A pump for fluid media, with an inner pipe or tube arranged in a housing. A drive shaft is journalled in the inner tube, and a rotor is arranged in the housing. The rotor has a main body which is secured to the drive shaft and is provided with conveying blades for the medium. The rotor has a turbine or pump operating counter to the transporting or conveying direction of the conveying blades. At least one passage is arranged in the main body and extends from the pressure side to the suction side of the rotor, with the passage being connected with a suction gap on the inner tube.
