  • Patent number: 9973879
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for managing wireless communications in a machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless Wide Area Network (WAN). A packet is decoded and demodulated by an M2M device that is received during a time slot of a physical layer forward link frame in the M2M wireless WAN. The packet is transmitted by a base station. The M2M device enters a sleep state before a physical layer acknowledgment (ACK) message is transmitted to the base station to indicate receipt of the packet.

  • Publication number: 20160072545
Abstract: Described are a system and method for correcting a receiver frequency at a receiver to enhance detection of arrival of a wirelessly transmitted message. • Patent number: 9232524
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for managing wireless communications in a machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless Wide Area Network (WAN). An operating frequency band of the M2M wireless WAN is divided into at least a first frequency channel and a second frequency channel. The first and second frequency channels being used for communications on a reverse link. A first rise over thermal (RoT) threshold is set for the first frequency channel. • Patent number: 9226289
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for managing wireless communications in a machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless Wide Area Network (WAN). A traffic slot map is generated. The traffic slot map identifies one or more first time slots and one or more second time slots. First data is transmitted during the one or more first time slots at a first data rate. • Publication number: 20140253388
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for tracking an asset or person using a synchronized set of anchor units. A tag attached to the asset or person has a clock offset relative to the anchor units, which in turn have clock offsets relative to each other. To remove the effect of the clock offset from the tag when estimating the location of the tag, the anchor units are synchronized by determining their clock offsets through signals wirelessly transmitted between the anchor units. The clock offsets may be obtained when there is a clear line-of-sight (LOS) path between anchor units as well as when the LOS path is obstructed. The range measurements that produce the estimate of the location of the tag are then determined from preamble information provided by the tag and from the clock offsets determined for the anchor units.

  • Patent number: 7762310
Abstract: A method of producing a clad sheet article having superplastic properties, and the resulting clad sheet article. The method involves producing a cladding layer onto at least one rolling face of a core ingot made of a metal having superplastic properties, preferably by co-casting, to form a clad ingot and then rolling said clad ingot to produce a sheet article. The core ingot includes an element that diffuses from an interior of the ingot to a surface at superplastic forming temperatures thereby deteriorating surface properties of the ingot. The cladding layer is provided with an element (dopant) that reacts with the element of the core to reduce the ability of the element to diffuse through the cladding layer.
