  • Patent number: 11978315
Abstract: An electronic gaming system includes a processor configured to execute instructions, which when executed, cause the processor to at least receive a wager amount from an electronic gaming machine (EGM), where the wager amount is associated with a player wager in a base bingo game played by a player of the EGM. The instructions also cause the processor to receive a bingo card parameter from the EGM, where the received bingo card parameter is associated with a bingo card provided to the player in the base bingo game, determine, based upon the wager amount, an award eligibility probability, and determine, based at least in part upon the award eligibility probability, whether the player is eligible to receive an award, and in response, compare the received bingo card parameter to a plurality of bingo card parameters, the plurality of bingo card parameters defining a paytable. Moreover, the instructions may cause the processor to determine, based upon the comparison, whether to provide the award to the player.

  • Publication number: 20160299291
Abstract: A plasmonic waveguide structure with highly confined field and low propagation loss is disclosed. In selected embodiments, the structure has a sub-wavelength size dielectric core surrounded by stacks. Each stack includes multiple repeating, alternating metal layers and dielectric layers. The stacks operate in bandgap condition to render a highly-confined and low propagation loss waveguide structures that can be made using commercially available fabrication techniques.

  • Patent number: 9038025
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses provide a tool (e.g., a user interface) for capturing and managing requirements, such as nonfunctional requirements (NFRs). The tool may be used in the course of developing software or a system architecture to gather information for software developers, system architects, and others. In particular, a process is disclosed that includes a step of identifying interaction points, a step of developing an interaction grid (or matrix) defining interactions between the identified interaction points, and a step of ascertaining NFRs from a user for each interaction.

  • Publication number: 20020007332
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a system and method for comparing financial products as funding sources for a financial plan, such as a non-qualified supplemental benefit plan or an individual financial plan. Such embodiments include selecting two or more financial products for comparison of a set of attributes, assigning a weight to each of the attributes, scaling the values of the financial products across each attribute, multiplying the scaled values by the assigned weights, and generating a weighted score for each financial product by summing the weighted scaled values for each product. Various tradeoffs in selecting one product over another can be determined by changing the assigned weight for at least one of the attributes in a subsequent comparison.
