  • Publication number: 20130332355
Abstract: The interactive authentication system allows a consumer to interact with a base station, such as broadcast media (e.g., television and radio) or PC, to receive coupons, special sales offers, and other information with an electronic card. The electronic card can also be used to transmit a signal that can be received by the base station to perform a wide variety of tasks. These tasks can include launching an application, authenticating a user at a website, and completing a sales transaction at a website (e.g., by filling out a form automatically). The interaction between the base station and the electronic card is accomplished by using the conventional sound system in the base station so that a special reader hardware need not be installed to interact with the electronic card. The user is equipped with an electronic card that can receive and transmit data via sound waves. In the various embodiments, the sound waves can be audible or ultrasonic (which can be slightly audible to some groups of people).

  • Publication number: 20130244531
Abstract: A plurality of individual toys, at least a first one of which generates acoustic signals and at least a second one of which receives acoustic signals. When the second toy receives acoustic signals from the first toy, it responds, for example, by generating a sound and/or controlling its motion. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the toys flock and/or form a procession of toys which follow a leader toy, for example a mother goose and a plurality of following and preferably quacking goslings.

  • Publication number: 20130022264
Abstract: A computer implemented method, system and computer program product for identifying the Main Colors and the matching colors of a visual object, and then viewing on a mobile device select items comprising the matching colors, such as from a merchant's catalogue. A visual object is analyzed for color content, and the results are stored on a system database located on the device or on a remote server. The color analysis of the objects comprise advanced image processing techniques, such as Main Color extraction using color space transformation comprising HSV, RGB and CYMK to map between pixels in the image. The user can subsequently view a display on their mobile identifying the visual object's Main Colors and at least one Harmonic Color; and then select and view all items (i.e. products in a database) comprising one Harmonic Color, and/or all items of a specific type and Harmonic Color.

  • Publication number: 20120308086
Abstract: A system for diagnosing an object that includes a preset of an object, a visual representation associated with one or more sub objects of at least part of the object, and a module to analyze the applicable visual representation. The visual representation is captured by a device and provides a specified status of the object. Further the analysis provides a measure of fit between the preset and the specified status of the object as captured and is carried out based on keypoint descriptors used to separate sub objects on the applicable visual representation. The device has a reproduction capturing device and data connectivity.

  • Publication number: 20120265761
Abstract: A method comprising, clustering a plurality of records, each record comprises at least one object image and at least one textual field associated with the object, to yield a plurality of clusters such that the object images in each cluster exhibit between them a visual similarity above a specified value; associating each cluster with a label by applying a dictionary function to the textual fields of each cluster, wherein the label reflects a common semantic factor of the textual fields of each cluster, and the factor has a value above a specified threshold. Accordingly, the visual similarity provides a measure of resemblances between two visual objects that can be based on at least one of: the fit between their color distribution such as correlation between their HSV color histograms, the fit between their texture, the fit between their shapes, the correlation between this edge histograms, and face similarity.

  • Publication number: 20120185393
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for analyzing images of visual objects, such as currency and payment cards, captured on a mobile device in determining their authenticity, and total amount of value. The system may be used in verifying the authenticity of hard currency, to count the total amount of the currency captured in one or more images, and to convert the currency using real time monetary exchange rates. The mobile device may also be used to verify the identity of a credit card user utilizing images of the card holder's face and signature, name on the card, card number, card signature, and card security code. Computerized content analysis of the captured images on the mobile devices as compared to images stored on a database facilitates a merchant processing a customer's payment and a financial institute accepting a cash deposit.

  • Publication number: 20110321149
Abstract: A method for verifying and identifying users, and for verifying users' identity, by means of an authentication device capable of transmitting, receiving and recording audio or ultrasonic signals, and capable of converting the signals into digital data, and performing digital signal processing. Voice pattern(s) and user(s) information of one or more authorized user(s) are recorded and stored on the authentication device. User(s) identification is verified by inputting to the authentication device a vocal identification signal from a user, and comparing the voice pattern of the vocal identification signal with the recorded voice pattern(s) of the authorized user(s), and if a match is detected issuing an indication that the user is identified as an authorized user.
