  • Patent number: 5464354
Abstract: A male connector plug has an electrically insulative and resilient body having a first end and a plug end and first and second bores therebetween. Each of a pair of electrically conductive pins or tines are frictionally fitted in a respective bore and trap and contact a bare section of an electrical wire with that bore. A wiring segment includes a central parallel male connector or a series male connector and end connectors attached to each end of a wire pair. A lamp assembly is connected to the tines of the central male connector. A translucent sleeve surrounds the central male connector and lamp assembly. According to a further aspect of the invention, a balloon display includes a first inflated balloon having a tube therethrough, a second inflated balloon including-an internal lamp connected to an end connector and the wiring segment disposed through the tube of the first balloon such that the central male connector and lamp assembly are within the balloon within the tube.

  • Patent number: 5282768
Abstract: An inflated elastic balloon has a tube passing completely therethrough. The tube is used to connect a plurality of balloons in a display pattern and to introduces a string of lights into the balloon interiors for display purposes. A disk having a bore is depressed into a deflated balloon wall and the wall covering the bore has a small hole or orifice in it. The tube passes through the disk bore and the wall orifice. A collar secures the balloon wall to the disk such that the wall material surrounding the wall orifice remains elastic and forms a sliding seal against the tube upon passage therethrough. In an alternate embodiment, the disk bore includes constriction rings that form a sliding seal against the tube and the balloon wall is secured and sealed against the disk.

  • Patent number: 5119281
Abstract: A plug and light stick allow a light bulb to be positioned within a common elastic expandable inflatable balloon having an elastic filler neck. The plug fits into the neck of a balloon and seals against the neck wall. The plug has a central bore having an interior end located within the balloon neck and an outer end. The light stick includes an elongated cylindrical tube having a light bulb on the insertion end. The bore contains therein at least one concentric constriction ring and the tube has an outside diameter such that the tube forms a sliding air-tight seal with the constriction ring when inserted in the bore. A pair of electric conductors extend from the bulb, pass along the interior of the tube external the balloon, and connect to an electrical energy source for lighting the balloon.

  • Patent number: 4074000
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel pressure sensitive adhesive drafting film which is specially formulated to permit it to be imaged in electrostatographic copiers. The film is a multilayered structure comprising layers from the top down of:(a) a matte coating capable of receiving and holding graphic information;(b) a layer of organic resinous material in film form;(c) a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive;(d) a release coating;(e) a layer of an organic resinous material in film form as release liner; and(f) a back coating which is a layer of an organic resinous binder material having dispersed therein:I. a particulate solid material of particle size ranging from 3 to 20 microns in the longest dimension, andIi. a water insoluble antistatic agent of a type to cause the film to have a surface resistivity in the range of from 10.sup.9 to 10.sup.14 ohms/sq.
