At least a first and second drive member are provided for cooperation with the movable means, which at least first and second drive member are movable in a direction of the vehicle by a common drive source and are spaced in said direction. At least one elongate buckling resistant member is provided extending substantially in said direction and movable between a disconnect position in which the first and second drive members of the movable means are operatively disconnected and a connect position for operatively connecting the first and second drive members of the movable means.

Abstract: A movable wind deflector assembly for use in an open roof construction for a vehicle comprises at least one pivoting wind deflector arm that with a first end is pivotally connected to the vehicle at a hinge point and at its opposite second end carries a wind deflector body extending in a transverse direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The wind deflector assembly further comprises an operating mechanism for moving the wind deflector arm and wind deflector body forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having an opening in the fixed roof comprises a frame to be fixed to the roof and an adjustable panel supported by the frame and being adjustable between a closed position closing the roof opening and an open position in which it releases the roof opening on the front side. There is provided a sun screen slidably guided with its side edges within guide groves in guide rails, which are open in a direction to the sun screen. This guiding is effected by means of sliding shoes which are biased outwardly with respect to the sun screen by means of spring members. Two sliding shoes on both sides of a fixing point to the sun screen are connected to the sun screen and are pre-tensioned by a respective spring member. There are provided means for loading the spring members in vertical direction, symmetrically with respect to the fixing point.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having an opening in its fixed roof comprises a stationary part to be secured to the roof, which is provided with guide rails on either side of the roof opening. An adjustable closing element supported by said stationary part can be adjusted by means of mechanisms guided in said guide rails between a closed position, in which it closes the roof opening, and an open position, in which it releases the roof opening, at least partially so. Water drain means comprise stationary water gutters, which extend parallel to the guide rails, and a movable water gutter, which is disposed under the rear edge of said closing element, at least in the closed position thereof. The ends of the movable water gutter, which are mounted on slides, debouch above the stationary water gutters. The slides are fitted with mounting covers, which each engage over the associated end of the movable water gutter, thus holding it in position on said slides.
