  • Patent number: 5189467
Abstract: The method of producing multiple images on a light sensitive photographic film, the steps include providing a photographic film having thereon a pre-exposed image A which is undeveloped; providing a template havingi) a mask section A' positioned to mask the image A when the template is aligned in superposed relation over the film, andii) a transparent section with a graphics image B thereon to be reproduced on the film, aligning the template in superposed relation over the film; and passing light through the transparent section of the template to reproduce a version of the image B on the undeveloped film, light also being blocked by the mask section of the template; and developing the film to convert the images A and B thereon into developed visible images.

  • Patent number: 4942412
Abstract: A camera has a film pack reception zone from which film prints are ejected after film exposure, and is characterized by timewise separated exposures of different sections of an in-place film, in that zone, and ejection of the in-place film only after completion of exposure of different sections of the in-place film.

  • Patent number: 4894671
Abstract: A device for use in a camera in conjunction with exposure of a photographic film carried by carrier structure including a frame bounding a light passing zone, includes(a) a template in the form of a locally transparent, generally planar and rectangular sheet adapted to carry an image to be reproduced on the film,(b) there being multiple elongated ribs integral with the sheet, and projecting outwardly from the plane of the sheet,(c) the multiple ribs substantially bounding all of the light passing zone to block light access to that zone in directions parallel to the plane of the sheet,(d) the ribs including a first laterally elongated rib at one end of the template to engage the frame adjacent one end of the template to prevent removal of the template in response to endwise removal of exposed film from the carrier structure, whereby the template sheet remains in the path of light transmission in directions generally normal to the plane of the sheet and to unexposed film carried by the carrier structure.

  • Patent number: 4764782
Abstract: Accessories for standard cameras are disclosed which permit the use of a standard camera to produce composite photographs. Two embodiments of the accessory are illustrated. One embodiment is adapted to be removably mounted on a standard camera marketed by the Polaroid Corporation, and designated the Spectra System camera. The other embodiment is adapted to be mounted on a standard camera manufactured by the Polaroid Corporation, and designated the Sun 600 camera. The acessories of both embodiments are easily mounted on and removed from the associated camera without requiring any modification of the standard camera. With both accessories, the associated camera can be used selectively for conventional photography and for producing composite photographs.

  • Patent number: 4717930
Abstract: A method of instant photography is disclosed wherein graphics are reproduced on a photographic print along with the image of an object whose photograph is taken using a camera. The method includes the steps:(a) producing a light flash,(b) and channeling at least some of the light to a zone proximate the camera lens and extending about the direct path of light that travels from said object through the lens to film in the camera,(c) whereby light channeled to that zone also passes through the lens and operates to illuminate the film, forming a light modulated background to the image of the object and also to the reproduced graphics.
