    Abstract: A soft head hammer made by splaying or radially spreading an end of a length of water pipe previously given a plurality of diametrically opposed endwise cuts, and thereafter molding the head of the hammer constituted of a relatively soft and lower melting point material about and into such end of the pipe so as to intimately interlock therewith to oppose separation from the pipe which constitutes the handle.
