    Abstract: An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a first vehicle structure mounted for movement relative to a second vehicle structure between open and closed positions, and a sensing strip placed to surround a substantial portion of at least one of the first and second vehicle structures to detect an obstruction. At least one actuator prevents the first vehicle structure from moving to the closed position in response to a detected obstruction.
