  • Publication number: 20240081719
Abstract: Described herein are methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for automated detection of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Techniques include providing stimuli to a user to activate a plurality of brain regions representing an attention network by displaying information with a first condition that causes a reaction and a second condition as an exception to the first condition. Techniques further include retrieving a plurality of signals from the plurality of brain regions for each of the stimuli, wherein each signal of the plurality of signals is accessed over a period of time that starts when the information is displayed and ends when the reactions of the user are captured. Further, the attention deficit detection system evaluates the signals to detect ADHD based on the level of connectivity within the attention network when each signal of the plurality of signals corresponds to the one or more stimuli.

  • Publication number: 20230361893
Abstract: The present invention relates to a communications channel adaptation method for URLLC services which is configured for ensuring reliability when implementing said URLLC services and executed in a communications system with at least one transmitter node (eNode) and a receiver or mobile terminal, wherein the receiver or mobile terminal measures the desired signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) from the reference signal received in instant t=i?1 and saves this SIR value (SIRi-1) in a memory; wherein based on this SIR value in instant t=i?1 (SIRi-1), a CQI value (CQIi-1) is determined and sent to the transmitter node (eNode), which selects the modulation and coding format in the subsequent transmission (MCSi) in the downlink according to that CQI measured in instant t=i-1 (CQIi-1); and wherein upon receiving in instant t=i the data packet sent by the transmitter node (eNode), the receiver terminal measures the SIR (SIRi) and saves it in a memory.

  • Publication number: 20070042718
Abstract: Outer loop power control (OLPC) method and apparatus for mobile communications systems which allow rapid adjustment of the target desired signal to interference ratio (SIRtarget) satisfying a target block error rate (BLERtarget). Specifically, the outer loop power control method proposed herein is termed “Outage-Based OLPC” and establishes that the target desired signal to interference ratio (SIRtarget) is given as the sum of two components: the first component (SIRoutage-tgt) is calculated by means of a dynamic adjusting function, for example, a neural network which makes a quality criterion based on outage probabilities correspond with one based on the target block error rate (BLERtarget), taking as input the fading margins associated with the different outage probabilities considered; the other component (SIRBLER-tgt) is that which acts to correct the possible deviations in the target block error rate (BLERtarget) due to the non-ideal behaviour of the previous component (SIRoutage-tgt).

  • Publication number: 20060166691
Abstract: Method and apparatus for the power control system outer loop of a mobile communications systems in a cellular infrastructure that allows fulfilling a given Quality of Service (QoS) with the minimum power level necessary. This outer loop is in charge of setting the desired signal to interference target ratio SIRtgt that fulfils the required quality of service in a radioelectric environment characterised by stochastic models. The proposed method is based on the application of the Newton-Raphson iteration method on numerical approximations of the various outage probability (QoS) probability density functions in various propagation environments, so that having established this probability and dynamically estimated the second order moments characteristic of each statistic considered, the margin over the SIR median is obtained and thereby the SIRtgt corresponding to the aforementioned outage probability.
