  • Patent number: 5203172
Abstract: A hydraulic engine apparatus and method that converts pulsed electromagnetic energy into mechanical force and motion. The engine apparatus produces usable mechanical power by pumping action made possible by a reciprocating piston in a cylinder acting on a fluid that is responsive to the pulsed electromagnetic energy. The cylinder is provided with check-valved input and output ports at both ends of the cylinder, which output ports are hydraulically coupled to a hydraulic motor for delivering mechanical power from the hydraulic motor's output drive shaft. The piston has embedded permanent magnets that coact with the pulsating electromagnets to produce the reciprocating action. The piston permanent magnet has prodruding ends which are received within central bore portions of core members of the electromagnets for producing increased magnetic pull.

  • Patent number: 5192899
Abstract: A motor system apparatus and method that converts pulsed electromagnetic energy into mechanical force and motion. The motor apparatus produces usable mechanical power by rotary action made possible by a wheel fixedly coupled to an axle whose ends are supported on bearings and which axle provides rotary power output. The wheel is rotationally driven by repeated repelling magnetic forces effected by circumferentially disposed permanent magnets of the same polarity on the wheel which magnetically respond to electronically pulsed electromagnets of the same polarity. The electromagnets are energized to produce a magnetic field that initiates a repelling rotational power stroke of the wheel that is maintained in a rotational state by controlled ON/OFF pulsing of the electromagnet such that the permanent magnets are repeatedly repelled to produce the rotary output power motion.

  • Patent number: 5036930
Abstract: The present invention teaches an engine system apparatus and method that converts pulsed electromagnetic energy into mechanical force and motion. The engine apparatus combines the reciprocating action of an internal combustion engine and utilizes electrical energy to produce a magnetic field that initiates a repelling power stroke that is maintained in a reciprocating state by a movable magnet that is attracted to a stationary electromagnet member of the system. An electrical power source is pulsed ON to repeatedly produce the repelling power stroke and pulsed OFF to repeatedly allow the movable magnet to attract to the stationary electromagnet. The underlying principles of the electromagnet engine allow engine configurations to be built having one stationary electromagnet and one movable permanent magnet.
