    Abstract: The invention is a method for freezing liquid sulfur. The method comprises introducing liquid sulfur into a tumbling bed of particulate sulfur to coat the particulate sulfur with liquid sulfur and providing a sufficient amount of water to the tumbling bed of particulate sulfur to maintain the bed temperature below the freezing point of the liquid sulfur.By controlling the temperature of the tumbling bed, particulate sulfur containing only small amounts of moisture can be produced. The product is roughly spherical, free flowing and substantially dust free.
