  • Publication number: 20120024738
Abstract: A transportable apparatus has a main body configured to be transported in a horizontal orientation, and then raised to a vertical orientation in a working position. A base is mounted on the bottom end of the main body such that the main body rests on the base in the working position, and such that the base is carried at a rear end of the main body when the main body is in a horizontal transport position supported on. The base is rotatable about a vertical base axis such that the main body can be rotated with respect to the base about the base axis. A frame and wheels can be pivotally attached to the main body to transport the main body and then be stored in a vertical orientation along a wall of the man body in the working position.

  • Publication number: 20100196130
Abstract: A transportable apparatus has a main body in a working position with a bottom end resting on the ground. The bottom end of a frame is pivotally attached to the main body above the bottom end of the main body and the frame is aligned with a side of the main body. An actuator pivots the frame downward about the pivot axis to a transport position where the frame extends substantially horizontally away from the main body. Wheels support the frame and a hitch at a top end of the frame is adapted for connection to a tow vehicle when the frame is in the transport position. When the frame is connected to a tow vehicle, the actuator can be operated to pivot the main body downward about the pivot axis to a lowered transport position where the main body rests on the frame for transport on the wheels.

  • Publication number: 20080073895
Abstract: A portable storage tank apparatus includes a tank shell mounted on wheels to be towed to a work site and adapted to be supported at the work site store granular material. An outlet opening has a gate to discharge stored material from the shell. A front loading conduit has an interior end at a top portion of an interior of the tank shell, and an exterior end located near the front end of the tank shell, and a rear loading conduit has an interior end at a top portion of the interior of the tank shell, and an exterior end located near the rear end of the tank shell. The exterior ends of the loading conduits are adapted for connection to a discharge pipe of a pneumatic conveyor to receive an air stream carrying granular material. Multiple tank compartments and a pneumatic conveyor unloading circuit can be provided as well.

  • Patent number: 5619939
Abstract: A disc-type opener and seeder useful in direct seeding during zero-till operations includes index/presser wheels to prevent hairpinning of trash etc. A soil retainer wheel cooperates with the disc to close the furrow cut by the disc and to cover the seeds placed therein. All of the above wheels are adjustably mounted to a main frame together with a spring-biased furrow finishing wheel. Improved seed supply means designed to reduce seed bounce are provided. Multiple units are mounted to a tool bar. Minor modifications permit the opener/seeder to be installed on the shank of a chisel plow air seeder.

  • Patent number: 5215553
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved mechanical separator which is capable of continuous operation without clogging, which is capable of efficiently separating particulate material from a gaseous medium such as air in such a manner that the collected particulate material may be salvaged, and which apparatus is environmentally friendly in that it cleans gases such as air in a highly efficient manner while at the same time saving potentially valuable products which would otherwise be mainly lost.

  • Patent number: 5125771
Abstract: A portable pneumatic conveyor for various bulk materials includes a hopper which supplies the bulk material to a feed tube. The feed tube is provided with a feed auger which advances the bulk material along the feed tube and into a chamber through which a current of air is passed by way of air inlet and air outlet lines connected to that chamber. The bulk material which is deposited within the chamber is fluidized by the air current and carried by the air current through the air line outlet and along the outlet conveying line to a storage site, such as a silo. In order to prevent air blow-back through the feed tube and alongside the auger, the outlet end of the feed tube is provided with a gate which is intended to at least partly close when the flow of bulk material into the chamber slows down or stops.
