  • Patent number: 4209164
Abstract: A solder jig for use in constructing "stained glass" ornaments and the like having panels disposed at selected angles with respect to one another. The jig is useful in constructing ornaments by either the lead came method, or the Tiffany (copper foil) method. The jig includes a base having a flat top surface and support legs. The base provides a pair of threaded holes receiving adjustment bolts. Locking wing nuts are provided on the adjustment bolts. The heads of the adjustment bolts are equipped with bar-shaped supports. Each support includes a generally flat horizontally extending portion and a generally flat portion making an angle of approximately 140.degree. with the horizontal portion. The base also provides locating pins which protrude upwardly generally vertically from the top surface of the base. A pair of work surface providing members are notched to engage the locating pins and rest upon the supports.

  • Patent number: 4025016
Abstract: Ladder attachments including holding assemblies designed to be fastened in various orientations on several different types of ladders. The attachments require no modification of the ladders. Each attachment comprises a clamp block having an alignment portion including an alignment surface for aligning the block against a ladder leg, a clamping portion and a web portion which joins the clamping and alignment portions. A second clamp portion is attached to the block by a bolt. The clamp block and second clamp portion are disposed on the bolt intermediate its ends and are adjustable relative to one another to clamp a ladder leg. The holding member is attached to one of the bolt ends and is proportioned and designed to hold an article outwardly from the ladder leg. In one embodiment, the holding member and second clamp portion are combined to create an easel tool which, when used in pairs, converts a ladder into an easel.

  • Patent number: 3961766
Abstract: A container holding apparatus for mounting either on a slotted horizontal work surface, such as a paint shelf of a step ladder, or outwardly from an upwardly extending support, such as a leg of a ladder, including a container-receiving assembly having a plurality of vertically extending members joined by a horizontally extending member. A first bracket is attached to the horizontal member and a first clamp member is adapted for fastening to the first bracket by a bolt received through the slotted horizontal work surface for clamping the container-receiving assembly to the work surface. A second multi-purpose bracket is removably attached to the horizontally extending member to support and stabilize the container-receiving assembly in an upright orientation on the work surface. For mounting the container-receiving assembly outwardly from the upwardly extending support, the multi-purpose bracket may be removed from the horizontally extending member and attached to one of the vertically extending members.
