  • Patent number: 9309689
Abstract: A method for creating rainwear that is waterproof yet allows the body's heat and moisture to vent is disclosed, including a shell and a liner, wherein the shell material is waterproof, and the liner material is waterproof and may or may not be breathable and vents placed at intervals in the fabric of the liner that allow for free air flow between the interior and exterior of the garment to achieve breathability by virtue of the vents. The garment may be made of materials that are inherently flame resistant for use where there is a danger of flash fire, such as high-voltage electrical work and petroleum production. In some embodiments, vents are inserted within apertures defined by a garment and include a base with inner and outer ridges surrounding a central opening and a cover having a perimeter extending between the inner and outer ridges.

  • Patent number: 8839463
Abstract: Trousers and methods for reducing muscle fatigue, and overcoming range of motion restrictions in the legs caused by the friction created by trouser legs rubbing against the knee portion of a person's leg when they are moving are disclosed. In certain embodiments, the trousers and methods use (1) an engineered dart in the mid-thigh region of the trouser, or (2) a zipper to decrease the vertical linear fabric surface in the mid-thigh region of the trouser such that the resulting tension causes the trouser fabric in the knee region to lift out and away from the knee portion of the wear's leg, thusly eliminating or greatly reducing contact between the trouser leg and the wearer's knee and the resulting strain.

  • Publication number: 20140259276
Abstract: A method for creating rain wear that is completely waterproof yet allows the body's heat and moisture to vent so that the wearer doesn't become wet from the inside said method comprising: a two part system, a shell and a liner, wherein the shell material is waterproof, and the liner material is waterproof and may or may not be breathable and vents placed at intervals in the fabric of the liner that allow for free air flow between the interior and exterior of the garment to achieve breathability by virtue of the vents. A further advantage of the present innovation is the ability to construct the garment out of materials that are inherently flame resistant making them suitable for use in environments where there is a danger of flash fire such as high-voltage electrical work and petroleum production.
