Publication number: 20240187406Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive a notification to authenticate a user associated with a user account of an application server. The device may send, to the user device, an authentication request that prompts the user to provide a contextual description of an operation associated with the user account. The device may receive, from the user device, an authentication response that includes a described characteristic of the operation that is associated with a parameter of the operation. The device may determine whether the authentication response is valid based on a comparison of the described characteristic of the operation and the parameter of the operation. The device may cause, based on a determination that the authentication response is valid, performance of the operation based on the parameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2024Publication date: June 6, 2024Inventors: Amanpreet Kaur DHINDSA, Jayanth PRATHIPATI, Hamza MONAWER

Publication number: 20240142256Abstract: Techniques for activating charging stations for an EV driver are disclosed. A charging station authorization system of an electric mobility service provider (eMSP) may receive information from an EV driver describing an electric vehicle (EV), preferences, constraints and trip information. The charging station authorization system may determine one or more routes for the trip that include use of charging stations owned or operated by Charge Point Operators (CPOs) during the trip and fit within the constraints. The charging station authorization system may order, based on costs of using charging stations, the routes, and/or recommend use of a route. Based on a EV driver selection and/or authorization, the charging station authorization system may send a request to one or more CPO computing systems to authorize charging by the EV driver of an EV at charging stations along the selected.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 19, 2022Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Daniel FELDMAN, Amanpreet KAUR, Jenya KIRSHTEIN

Patent number: 11787305Abstract: Techniques for estimating a vehicle state of charge (“SoC”) are disclosed. A computing device may determine a first instance of connectivity between the computing device and an electric vehicle and determine a first location of the computing device associated with the first instance of connectivity. The computing device may detect completion of a first trip of the electric vehicle, wherein the first trip reflects movement of the electric vehicle from the first location to a second location, and determine a first distance traveled by the electric vehicle during the first trip based on the first location and the second location. The computing device may select the electric vehicle for charging using the determined first instance of connectivity between the computing device and the electric vehicle, estimate a SoC of the selected electric vehicle using the determined first distance, and transmit the estimated SoC to a charging station.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2020Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: Enel X Way S.R.L.Inventors: Daniel Feldman, Amanpreet Kaur

Publication number: 20230286409Abstract: This disclosure discusses systems, methods, and techniques for charging a plurality of electric vehicles (EVs). In one aspect, a system may include a plurality of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), and the EVSEs are coupled between a power grid and the EVs. The system may also include a plurality of power meters, and a respective power meter may measure an amount of power received from a respective EV. The system may determine an instance of communication connectivity between the system and the EVs. After establishing communication, the system may communicate with the EVs using any communication protocol and/or standard. The communication may then enable the system to receive EV characteristics, for example, a state of charge of each EV. Based on the EV characteristics, the system may then determine power conversion efficiencies of each EVSE. By so doing, the system can determine power losses associated with each EVSE.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 10, 2022Publication date: September 14, 2023Inventors: Daniel Feldman, Amanpreet Kaur, Vincent Schachter
