  • Publication number: 20230073778
Abstract: A system, method, or device for imaging the anterior segment of an eye includes a contactless adapter/lens that may be attached to an existing ophthalmic imaging system to redirect the imaging system's light beam to traverse the pupil of the eye at a steep angle. In particular, the steep angle is determined to permit the ophthalmic imaging system to image zonules under the iris, and which would typically be blocked by the iris and not accessible for imaging.

  • Patent number: 10209129
Abstract: Embodiments of measurement apparatus for measuring the optical properties of a sample film are described. The measurement apparatus includes a first stage, a second stage, and an arm structure coupled to the second stage. The first stage includes an optical source and a block of transparent material. The block of transparent material includes a surface that supports a sample film. The second stage includes a plurality of layers and an optical detector. The arm structure is designed to translate the second stage with respect to the first stage.

  • Patent number: 9486654
Abstract: A reconfigurable, modular ergonomic sit harness or saddle for use by linesmen, arborists, or the like includes a gender-specific back pad assembly that supports a number of removable, optional attachments allowing customization for user preference or job environment. Gender-specific angled wing portions of the back pad contain an armor layer and extra padding to protect the bony protrusions of both the male and female pelvis. A “one size fits all” approach includes a waistband having length adjustability over approximately a 3:1 range. Each component and sub-system of the sit harness is ergonomically designed to maximize comfort and minimize stresses on a user's body. The back pad features interchangeable lumbar support pads. Optional, removable features include a seat, an abdominal support, and a body harness for use with a fall restraint device. Interchangeable suspension bridges allow user attachment to a wide range of support systems.
