  • Patent number: 10779941
Abstract: A delivery cylinder for a prosthetic implant can include a first tubular portion and a second tubular portion. The second tubular portion has a plurality of strut members coupled to the first tubular portion that define a volume for containing the prosthetic implant in a radially compressed state. The strut members can include respective flex regions configured such that application of force to the strut members causes deformation of the flex regions and corresponding radially inward or outward movement of the strut members relative to a longitudinal axis of the delivery cylinder between an expanded configuration and a contracted configuration.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 2017
Date of Patent: September 22, 2020
    Assignee: Edwards Lifesciences Corporation
Inventors: Arvin T. Chang, Sam Sok, Amanda K. Anderson, Ajay Chadha
  • Patent number: 10583007
Abstract: A delivery apparatus for a prosthetic implant can include an elongate first shaft, a first suture guide coupled to the first shaft, an elongate second shaft, and a second suture guide coupled to the second shaft. The first shaft can extend coaxially through the second shaft and the second suture guide, the first suture guide can be disposed distal to the second suture guide, and the first suture guide and the second suture guide can be configured to be axially movable relative to each other.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10357351
Abstract: In a particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a prosthetic valve delivery assembly that includes a storage tube. A prosthetic valve having a frame is at least partially disposed within the storage tube. A nose cone is located distally to the valve. A removable tab is disposed between the distal end of the frame and the nose cone. The tab assists in maintaining the position of the nose cone relative to the distal end of the frame.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2016
Date of Patent: July 23, 2019
    Assignee: Edwards Lifesciences Corporation
Inventors: Alexander H. Cooper, Michael R. Bialas, David M. Taylor, Gregory Scott Tyler, II, Zachary R. Kowalski, Art Z. Kwan, Darshin S. Patel, Asher L. Metchik, Michael J. Popp, Amanda K. Anderson
  • Patent number: 10265169
Abstract: A prosthetic implant delivery assembly can include a prosthetic implant and an elongate catheter. The prosthetic implant can include an expandable stent portion having a longitudinal axis extending from a first end portion of the stent to a second end portion of the stent. The catheter can include a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end portion of the catheter to a distal end portion of the catheter and a plurality of arms extending axially from the distal end of the catheter. The first end portion of the stent can be releasably and pivotably coupled to at least one the arms of the catheter such that the stent can pivot about the at least one of the arms so that the longitudinal axis of the stent is tilted relative to the longitudinal axis of the catheter.
