Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for providing customizable interactive healthcare services in relation to neuromodulation treatment are disclosed. A digital health system includes a memory device that stores a database of device operation and treatment (DOT) information of neuromodulation device. The DOT information includes information releasable to a patient and device programming capability authorized to the patient, and can be categorized according to a plurality of pre-determined treatment phases and/or according to a plurality of pre-determined patient skill or engagement levels with the neuromodulation device. A processor determines a treatment phase and a skill or engagement level using patient state information, queries the database to determine personalized DOT information corresponding to the treatment phase and the patient skill or engagement level, and provides the personalized DOT information to the patient.

  • Publication number: 20240057894
Abstract: This document discusses systems, devices, and methods for monitoring and managing patients with chronic pain. A patient monitoring system comprises a sensor circuit to sense a physiological or functional signal indicative of or correlated to patient mobility, an electrostimulator to generate and deliver neuromodulation therapy to the patient, and a controller circuit to generate a mobility metric using the sensed physiological or functional signal. The mobility metric represents respective times spent in different activity intensity levels associated with one or more types of activities during a specific time period. The controller circuit can trend the mobility metric over time and determine a progress toward a personalized mobility goal of the patient, and control the electrostimulator to initiate or adjust the neuromodulation therapy in accordance with the trended mobility metric or the determined progress toward the mobility goal.

  • Publication number: 20230181109
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed to evaluate a neurostimulation treatment provided from a neurostimulation device, based on freeform text analysis. In an example, a system or device to evaluate a neurostimulation treatment provided from a neurostimulation device is configured to perform operations that: obtain text content, originating from text or voice input of a human patient, which relates to a state of a human patient; identify a state of the human patient from natural language processing of the text content; obtain device data from the neurostimulation device; identify a state of the neurostimulation treatment of the human patient from the device data; associate the identified state of the human patient to the identified state of the neurostimulation treatment; and initiate an action for the neurostimulation treatment, based on the identified state of the human patient that is associated with the identified state of the neurostimulation treatment.

  • Publication number: 20230123473
Abstract: This document discusses a computer-implemented method of machine recognition of a physiological condition of a subject. The computer-implemented method comprises obtaining a video stream of the subject using a video data source; identifying, using processing circuitry, one or more areas within image frames of the video stream that contain a physiological feature of the subject; analyzing video data of the identified one or more areas in the image frames using the processing circuitry to detect change of the physiological feature between a first frame of video data and a later frame of video data; determining one or more change parameters of the physiological feature from the video data; and generating an indication of a symptom of Parkinson's Disease according to a detection criterion applied to the one or more change parameters.
