Abstract: There is provided a system and method for providing context-based limited availability commerce options. There is provided a method comprising receiving a sensor data sample corresponding to a segment for an event, matching the sensor data sample to a media record in a media database, the media record including an identity of the event, generating an advertising campaign of limited availability commerce options using a context including the identity of the event and a location of a device, and presenting the advertising campaign on a display of the device. When the event corresponds to a theatrical movie showing, the segment may correspond to the first few measures of a song for an end credit roll, and the sensor data sample may be recorded from a microphone. The commerce options may be limited based on time, location, demographics, user or group participation, and other criteria.

Abstract: A system configured as an online marketplace with a high-speed, game-like method for determining which users obtain which products or services in the marketplace is disclosed. One implementation provides a mobile application where users swipe through a presentation of items (products, services, or money) that they can obtain. Users earn credits by giving items or money to other users. Then, they redeem these credits by getting items or money from other users. Thus, a given user alternates between being a “giver” and a “getter,” making pairs of asynchronous trades with two other users. In the selection process to choose an item to receive, users can choose any single item, but may only swipe unidirectionally, meaning that they cannot return and see or choose an item previously rejected. Aspects include a game engine and a set of rules and constraints to create a novel experience for transactional based experiences such as shopping and reservations.

An example method may involve receiving requests to play back media items in a media index, tracking the requests to play back the media items in the media index, determining a set of media items from among the media items in the media index based on the tracked requests to play back media items in the media index, and indexing the determined set of media items into a sub-index. The set of media items have been played at least a pre-determined threshold number of times within a pre-determined threshold period of time. The media items in the sub-index are a subset of the media items in the main index.

Abstract: Examples provided herein involve a playback history for media items played by playback zones of a media playback system. An example implementation involves a mobile device querying, via a network interface, a database hosted by one or more servers for a particular portion of a playback history stored in the database, the particular portion of the playback history corresponding to media items played by the media playback system during the particular time period. The mobile device displays graphical representations of the particular media items played during the particular time period by the media playback system. The mobile device may receive input data selecting one or more particular media items played during the particular time period by the media playback system and add the selected one or more particular media items to a queue.

The implementation also involves receiving a request for media items played during a given time period by the one or more playback zones; and based on the request, transmitting, to the media playback system, a portion of the playback history. Transmitting the portion of the playback history causes an indication of particular media items played by the one or more playback zones during the given time period to be displayed.

Abstract: A safety gate for enclosing a passageway includes first and second gate members situated in an overlapping arrangement for slidable movement horizontally so that a width defined collectively by the gate members is selectable. The second gate member is essentially received by the first gate member. Each gate member includes an upstanding proximal end panel and spaced apart upper and lower panels extending away from the respective proximal end panel, the upper and lower panels having terminal ends, respectively, that together define a void therebetween. Each gate member includes an upper rail member extending horizontally along an upper edge of the first gate member that is perpendicular to respective upper panels. The first and the second rail members are situated one atop the other and share a singular vertical axis extending through them.

Abstract: A multimedia controller for controlling and displaying zones in a multi-zone system is provided. In one example the controller provides a user interface for multiple zones of a media playback system comprising multiple playback devices. The controller identifies respective states associated with each zone of the multiple zones and detects an input to display a list of the multiple zones. In response to detecting the input, the controller determines an order of the multiple zones within the list of the multiple zones and displays, via the user interface, the list of the multiple zones, wherein the list of the multiple zones identifies each zone of the multiple zones in the determined order.

The controller is also configured to display the list of the zones, wherein the list of the zones identifies each zone of the plurality of zones, and wherein the list of zones is ordered at least according to the state associated with each respective zone of the plurality of zones.

A computing device maintains the playback history. The playback history includes, for each of the media items, (i) an indication of a playback zone in which the media item was played, (ii) a time at which the media item was played, and (iii) metadata associated with the media item. The metadata may include, among others, at least one of an album associated with the media item, a genre associated with the media item, and a track name associated with the media item. The computing device, in response to a request, may transmit a portion of the playback history based on the request. The portion of the playback history identifies media items played by one of the playback zones at a given time.
