Abstract: The present invention provides a beverage and a dermatological composition comprising water molecules, the water molecules having oxygen atoms of different isotopes, the beverage being enriched in at least one of the oxygen isotopes, the enrichment being in reference to (i) the amount of that oxygen isotope in the water used to produce the beverage or (ii) the amount of that oxygen isotope in ground water, or (iii) Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water. The water molecules may be derived from a plant source, such as a juice, a sap or a tree water.

Abstract: A method for preparing a plant derived product or a process intermediate or a process input, the method comprising the steps of providing a plant derived starting material, subjecting the starting material to a forward osmosis step against a draw solution so as to produce a plant material concentrate, and subjecting the draw solution to a water removal step. The water removal step may include further forward osmosis in combination with an evaporator system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cap adapted to be sealingly attached to a container having an opening and a neck, the container holding a liquid food. The cap includes a spout sealed at one end by a lid and at the other end by another foil or rupturing material and includes a component to be added to the liquid food at the time of consumption. The cap further includes a skirt to engage the inside of the neck to seal the container as well as an outside wall that engages to neck of the container in a screw type arrangement.

Abstract: A cap for use with a container having a liquid food, the cap including a spout sealed at one end by a lid and at the other end by a foil and including a blister pack containing a component to be added to the liquid food at the time of consumption, the fully assembled cap adapted to be sealingly attached to the container having an opening sealed by a foil. Various mechanisms are proposed to break the foils of both the cap and the container to allow the component to be mixed with the liquid food. The cap may further include a seal to prevent ingress of particulates and/or water.

Abstract: A method of recovering palatable potable storable water from a process for concentrating an extracted juice, the method including the steps of: providing the extracted juice; concentrating the extracted juice to form a concentrated juice stream and a concentrator waste stream, wherein the concentrator waste stream is not palatable, potable or storable; and purifying the concentrator waste stream to provide palatable potable storable water including the step of passing the concentrator waste stream through activated carbon.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for delivering a P methysticum extract to an animal in need thereof, the method comprising the steps of: (i) administering the P methysticum extract orally to the animal, and (ii) administering an effervescent agent orally to the animal to cause the generation of an effervescence product within the alimentary tract of the animal, wherein the P methysticum extract and effervescence product co-locate at a site in the alimentary tract of the animal such that a psychoactive effect of the extract is improved relative to a method whereby there is no co-location of an effervescence product and the P methysticum extract. The method may be useful in altering the neurological state of a subject, to decrease anxiety, increase relaxation, decrease wakefulness, increase happiness, increase cheerfulness, or improve cognitive ability.

Abstract: A valve assembly for dispensing liquid from a container. A manifold includes a first channel extending downwardly from a first inlet to a first side outlet, and a second channel extending downwardly from a second inlet on the manifold to a second outlet. The first side outlet and the second inlet are located on the same horizontal plane in reference to the longitudinal axis of the manifold. An elastic membrane sheathed around the manifold extends over the first side outlet and the second inlet. External fluid pressure causes the membrane to expand under fluid flow to provide for fluid communication through the manifold. In alternate embodiments fluid pressure flowing through the first and second channels causes the elastic membrane to expand enabling fluid communication between the first side outlet and the second inlet. A sealing sleeve extends around the elastic membrane is movable from a first to a second position.

Abstract: A beverage storage apparatus including an outer container housing an internal flexible and collapsible bladder serving to hold the beverage and a means to regulate the pressure of gas in a head space between the outer container and the internal bladder. The apparatus can further dispense fluid such as beverages whereupon the bladder is under pressure to assist in dispensing the fluid and by use of an appropriate gas maintain the composition of the beverage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a blister pack sealed to the neck of a container and adapted to fit under the container lid forming a seal, said blister pack containing a liquid soluble material such as dissolvable aspirin. When force is applied to the blister pack, the base, which is comprised of a rupturable material, breaks and allows the liquid soluble material to be mixed with the liquid in the container. The blister pack remains as a seal for the container until it is desired that the user remove the blister pack for access to the container. The user can then re-seal the container using the container lid.
