  • Patent number: 4560099
Abstract: A folding device for a machine for treating, particularly steaming, folded printed fabrics is described. The device is constituted essentially by a rotary arm lift (S) which lifts individual support rods (20) for the folded fabric in succession from a condition in which the rods are suspended from endless conveyor chains (10) to a condition in which the rods (20) rest on rails (28) located above the active passes (16) of the chains, which draw the rods (20) carrying the folded fabric (F) through the treatment chamber (1) of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4186572
Abstract: An apparatus for steaming printed fabrics is described which comprises a treating chamber, humidifying passages or channels in the chamber, through which the steam present in the chamber is caused to circulate. The apparatus comprises means for supplying additional humidity by introduction of water into the steam circulating through the channels, and means effective to cause the supplied water, if not vaporized, to collect in the channels so that water in liquid state is prevented from entering the treating and steaming chamber. The humidifying channels are essentially U-shaped and comprise a downwardly directed inlet portion, a passage direction reversing intermediate portion and an upwardly directed outlet portion. Nozzles are provided in the downwardly directed portion as to establish in this latter a dynamic steam entraining effect from the environment. The apparatus is advantageous to obtain the greatest color yield of the dyestuff material present in the fabric.

  • Patent number: 3968664
Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous immersion washing of uninterrupted pieces of fabrics, particularly of knitted fabrics, progresses the length of fabric through a series of washing stations including immersion washing tanks and progressing mechanisms including fabric widening rollers. At least one immersion washing tank has an intermittently driven rotary member partially immersed therein and having circumferentially distributed first projections which form a platform with second projections distributed along endless sprocket chams which drive the rotary member. Portions of the fabric are fed and loosely folded in relaxed tensionless condition onto the platform. A pair of axially-aligned, independently-driven and controlled half rollers exert transverse pulls on the fabric to counteract and correct misalignments detected and signalled by sensor means located downstream of the immersion washing tank.
