  • Patent number: 4820396
Abstract: A rack or transport tool for the printed wire industry which rationalizes its many operations by unifying them through the use of new process tanks all accepting the above same tool. This rack mechanically secures and processes panels, vertically, most already drilled or punched with holes, so that any chemicals, or spray water or pressurized air will have free access to clean or dry or chemically treat these holes and adjacent surfaces which are previously through plated with copper or any wished metal. To accomplish so many diversifyed operations, a change in the work method is necessary. Each panel must be provided with two or more notches on its edges so that the tool will not rely on an apparent clamping force to hole the panels but on the captive ability of these various notches, transversally mating each other to prevent the panels to fall off under the action of pressurized water, air, hydrostatic force, solutions and cathode agitation.

  • Patent number: 4791458
Abstract: A multi-purpose ultra-violet exposure frame used to prepare a photomask for the imaging of Printed Wired Boards and used as a production tool with UV exposing machine, for manufacture of multiple or single imaged PWB on a single panel of dielectric base material. The apparatus includes movable pins for transport of a panel to, and between, photomasks which are clamped for manual operation, on the same side of the pins' travel; a fixed spring-loaded pin, acting as an indexer to insure the stepping of the image; photomask clamps which, exercising pressure on a perforated metallic strip, hold the photomask rigidly and allows repetition of the lot, and the punching out of holes in the photomask for the insertion of locating pins; and spring-loaded glass insuring air-tight exposure of the photomask onto a pre-sensitized panel to be imaged.

  • Patent number: 4159176
Abstract: There is described an exposure frame for aligning and holding photomasks in registration with a printed circuit board coated with a light sensitive material. The printed circuit board is held between an independently adjustable mounting strip and slides. A contact strip is floated on the mounting strip by a spring mounting to permit the slides to position the printed circuit board relative to the photomask. The photomask, in turn, is mounted on the adjustable mounting strip. This facilitates good registration between the board and mask.
