  • Publication number: 20240121696
Abstract: Cross-link switching between terrestrial and non-terrestrial links in integrated wireless communication networks involves interactions between a user equipment (UE), a terrestrial network device, and a non-terrestrial network device. Signaling is sent by one of the network devices and received by the UE, to schedule a transmission between the other network device and the UE. The scheduled transmission, which is cross-scheduled by one network device for the other network device, is communicated between the UE and the other network device according to the signaling. Communicating a transmission may involve sending the transmission by the UE and receiving the transmission by the other network device, or sending the transmission by the other network device and receiving the transmission by the UE.

  • Publication number: 20240106518
Abstract: Moving communication devices present challenges for conventional antenna beam sweeping techniques. According to embodiments of mobility-aware antenna beam tracking as disclosed herein signaling is communicated between a User Equipment (UE) and a moving communication device in a wireless communication network. The signaling is indicative of a beam trajectory along which an antenna beam, that is associated with the moving communication device, is moving. The moving communication device itself is also moving, along a device trajectory that may or may not be the same as the beam trajectory. The antenna beam is used for subsequent directional communications between the UE and the moving communication device.

  • Patent number: 11943067
Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) is configured to receive from a base station a signaling comprising indication of one or more time-frequency resources and an indicator indicating a time gap, and transmit a transport block (TB) to a second UE using the one or more time-frequency resources. For each of the time-frequency resources, the first UE monitors a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback from the second UE, using a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resource; and transmits to the base station a HARQ feedback report signal based on the HARQ feedback or absence thereof, in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), using a single PUCCH resource determined based on the time gap from a last one of the PSFCH resources.

  • Patent number: 11937278
Abstract: With sidelink reservation signals sent together with the sidelink data, there is the possibility of interference with other sidelink signals. In order to address this, systems and methods are provided in which a first UE transmits a reservation signal to indicate at least one time-frequency resource for transmitting sidelink data. Following this, the first UE transmits at least one sidelink data transmission to a second UE using the at least one time-frequency resource indicated by the reservation signal. The reservation signal is transmitted before the at least one sidelink data transmission signal so that a third UE may detect the reservation signal and use the reservation signal to avoid using the at least one time-frequency resource indicated in the reservation signal.

  • Publication number: 20240056925
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to mobility management across multiple subsystems of wireless network devices, such as base-stations, drones, balloons, planes and satellites. In particular, the maintenance of user experiences across the subsystems is addressed. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to integrating terrestrial networks with non-terrestrial networks and establishing mechanisms for managing mobility of user devices as the devices travel from a service area defined by a connection with a terrestrial network to a service area defined by a connection with a non-terrestrial network or vice versa. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to establishing a format for an exchange of communication between user devices and transmit-receive points so that the mobility of the user device may be appropriately managed.

  • Patent number: 11882570
Abstract: A New Radio (NR) control signal that indicates one or more Long Term Evolution (LTE) network parameters may be transmitted to NR UEs to enable the NR UEs to identify which resources carry LTE signal(s). The NR UEs may then receive one or more NR downlink signals over remaining resources in a set of resources without processing those resources that carry LTE signal(s). The NR downlink signals may have a zero power level, or otherwise be blanked, over resources that carry the LTE signal(s).
