  • Publication number: 20080133209
Abstract: A system and method for implementing a unified model for integration systems is presented. A user provides inputs to an integrated language engine for placing operator components and arc components onto a dataflow diagram. Operator components include data ports for expressing data flow, and also include meta-ports for expressing control flow. Arc components connect operator components together for data and control information to flow between the operator components. The dataflow diagram is a directed acyclic graph that expresses an application without including artificial boundaries during the application design process. Once the integrated language engine generates the dataflow diagram, the integrated language engine compiles the dataflow diagram to generated application code.

  • Patent number: 6442142
Abstract: A method for determining whether signal data exists on a communication line, including: receiving a signal from the line; measuring a level of the received signal at a plurality of predetermined times; comparing the measured levels with predetermined reference levels so as to identify a plurality of valid data pulses; measuring a time interval between two or more of the valid data pulses; and determining that the valid pulses represent signal data responsive to the measured time interval.

  • Patent number: 6249881
Abstract: A method for debugging an application on an embedded processor using a debug monitor service routine (debug ISR) and allowing critical interrupts to be transparently serviced is provided. The method enters and runs a debug monitor service routine transparently such that the application program being debugged is unaware of the monitor. A debug interrupt is completely transparent to the application software that runs on the embedded processor and is therefore non-maskable. In addition, when entering the debug ISR, shadow registers and the global interrupt disable bit (if they exist) are not be altered, which preserves the monitor's transparency to the application. Once the debug monitor is entered, a context save may be performed if needed and the monitor may proceed to enable interrupts if necessary.

  • Patent number: 5996059
Abstract: An address pipeline includes a sequence of registers for storing the memory addresses of instructions currently being processed within the different stages of an execution pipeline. In parallel with the execution pipeline, the address pipeline advances the corresponding memory addresses as the instructions are advanced through the execution pipeline. Address pipelining allows the programmer of a pipelined processor to understand the otherwise hidden operation of a pipelined processor by giving the programmer means to track instructions through the pipeline. In addition, the address pipeline includes an instruction status register for indicating whether an instruction at any given stage of the pipeline has been executed and a program counter address breakpoint register for storing the address of the instruction that actually triggers a breakpoint.

  • Patent number: 5631591
Abstract: A phase synchronization circuit uses a phase comparator and adjustable delay lines that selectively delay a system clock timing signal applied to two integrated circuit chips. The phase comparator and delay lines compensate for propagation delays in each of the integrated circuit chip. The phase comparator receives bus clock signals of the two chips and generates two trigger signals for application to two counters. The counters count signals are applied to corresponding delay lines, which are clocked by a system clock. The delayed timing signals from the delay lines furnish timing signals to the corresponding integrated circuit chips. The count of the counter which corresponds to the integrated circuit chip having the smaller propagation delay is increased until the bus clock signals for the two integrated circuit chips are phase synchronized.
