  • Publication number: 20060189903
Abstract: A computerized method for recording and scoring the process by which an examinee performs cognitive or psychological grapho-motor tasks that call for the use of pencil and paper, such as drawing or copying graphical configurations or text. The examinee uses a digital pen that leaves a trace on a writing pad. The trace is digitized in real time, input to a computer and stored in memory as a time dependent image. The image may be displayed and scored in real time or at a later stage on a computer display. The examiner can easily replay and reevaluate the graph-motor task process at a later stage.

  • Publication number: 20060079803
Abstract: A method for improving the administration of clinical psychological tests by storing multiple sets of visual stimuli and instructions in a computer that is operated and controlled by an examiner. The examiner selects desired stimuli or instructions from the sets and present them in a desired order, rate and format on a secondary display that is viewed by the examinee. The method eliminates the use of cumbersome stimuli booklets or a set of cards currently used by clinical test publishers. The method reduces the cost of developing new tests, modifying existing tests, and eliminates errors in stimuli presentation. The method enables control of the pace of stimuli presentation, and modification in real time, if necessary, of the course of tests according to the performance of the examinee and makes it possible for minimally trained technicians and psychologists to administer such tests at high standards.

  • Publication number: 20050196734
Abstract: A method of administering ecologically valid psychological examinations to an examinee by an examiner equipped with a computer, the method including: (a) visually presenting stimuli or instructions to the examiner on a display operationally connected to the computer; and (b) performing an action by the examiner either (i) reading out loud the stimuli or the instructions; or (ii) pressing an input device operationally connected to the computer thereby audibly playing the stimuli or the instructions to the examinee over a sound system operationally connected to the computer; wherein the examinee does not interact with the computer nor see the display.
