  • Patent number: 10951431
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for providing a device registry service for devices that communicate over a network. The devices are configured as Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The devices are registered and classified as various types. Based upon the classification, interfaces are provided for the registered devices by the registry service if the devices do not already include them to allow for interaction and control of the devices. New interfaces can be provided to the service by various parties including manufacturers and system integrators to expose additional capabilities of the devices and create additional functionalities. The new interfaces are generally made available to all users of the registry service.

  • Publication number: 20160379167
Abstract: A dynamic resource scheduler receives a first request to schedule a first event at a first location during a first time period and a second request to schedule a second event at a second location. When the dynamic resource scheduler determines that the second location is within a threshold distance of the first location, the dynamic resource scheduler determines and presents a first plurality of selectable time period options for scheduling the second event that includes at least one of the first time period and a second, adjacent time period and schedules the second event during a selected time period.

  • Publication number: 20150091705
Abstract: A system, method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for tracking and controlling inventory with a container. A container that defines a cavity may include an access detection system configured to detect when the cavity of the container is accessed, a radio frequency identification reader configured to be activated in response to the access detection system detecting that the cavity has been accessed, and a communications interface configured to transmit a signal identifying the contents of the cavity in response to the radio frequency identification reader identifying a change in contents of the cavity. The container may also include a lid movable between an open position in which the cavity is accessible, and a closed position in which the cavity is inaccessible, where the access detection system is configured to detect when the lid is moved to the open position.
