  • Patent number: 12110333
Abstract: As demonstrated herein, soluble human FcRn binds to AFP with affinities greater than observed with albumin, and is able to interfere with FcRn-mediated protection of and functional associations with IgG. Accordingly, provided herein, in some aspects, are compositions and methods to inhibit FcRn and AFP interactions in diseases or disorders where elevated AFP levels are associated with immunosuppression. Also provided herein, in some aspects, are compositions and methods to enhance or potentiate FcRn and AFP interactions in diseases or disorders with decreased AFP levels or diseases or disorders where increasing AFP levels increasing with immunosuppression.

  • Publication number: 20240158264
Abstract: An apparatus and method for evaporative containment of liquid or solid wastes includes an evaporative membrane for receiving the solid or liquid waste and at least one flap including a wicking layer, an odor-neutralizing layer, or both, and a skeletal frame. An apparatus and method for moisture removal from media includes a hydrophilic evaporative layer and a wicking layer, the hydrophilic evaporative layer being non-porous or nano-porous and allowing selective passage of vapor water molecules while preventing passage of suspended or dissolved solids, ions, salt, or pollutants, the wicking layer absorbing and spreading bulk moisture across a surface area. An apparatus and method for collecting liquid or solid wastes includes liquid and solid waste capture containers capable of volume reduction of captured waste and generating a liquid or gas effluent with fewer impurities than the captured waste.

  • Patent number: 7900023
Abstract: A technique to allow independent loads to be satisfied during high-latency instruction processing. Embodiments of the invention relate to a technique in which a storage structure is used to hold store operations in program order while independent load instructions are satisfied during a time in which a high-latency instruction is being processed. After the high-latency instruction is processed, the store operations can be restored in program order without searching the storage structure.

  • Patent number: 7793104
Abstract: A system and method of security authentication and key management scheme in a multi-hop wireless network is provided herein with a hop-by-hop security model. The scheme adapts the 802.11r key hierarchy into the meshed AP network. In this approach, a top key holder (R0KH) derives and holds the top Pairwise Master Key (PMK—0) for each supplicant wireless device after the authentication process. All authenticator AP take the level one key holder (R1KH) role and receive the next level Pairwise Master Key (PMK—1) from R0KH. The link level data protection key is derived from PMK—1 via the 802.11i 4-way handshaking.
