  • Patent number: 10609673
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described relating to changes in an antenna configuration of a multi-antenna radio frequency (RF) transceiver between reference signal occasions. In one set of examples, a first antenna configuration at a first reference signal occasion of a first RF transmitter is stored, and if the antenna configuration has changed by the time a second reference signal occasion of the first (same) RF transmitter begins, the antenna configuration is switched back to the first antenna configuration. In another set of examples, compensation data to enable compensation between the first antenna configuration used to measure a first reference signal of a reference RF transmitter and a second antenna configuration used to measure a second reference signal of a neighboring (different) RF transmitter is retrieved and used when computing a time difference between the first and second reference signals.

  • Publication number: 20200086853
Abstract: An incoming autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may initiate/receive parking assist by providing a credit offer to parked vehicles to autonomously move or relocate so that the incoming vehicle has space to park. The incoming vehicle may send a park assist request to a parking control server or parked vehicles, including a credit offer to provide an incentive to parked vehicles to move. In response, a parking location for the incoming vehicle along with target vehicles near the parking location that may be moved may be provided to the incoming vehicle. The target vehicles may accept or reject a request to move, along with the credit offer, e.g., in a park assist negotiation with the incoming vehicle or the parking control server. Upon acceptance of the credit offer, one or more target vehicles may move or relocate to provide room for the incoming vehicle to park.

  • Publication number: 20200077225
Abstract: Techniques are provided to initiate signal transmissions for possible opportunistic reception by a mobile device, and/or to initiate opportunistic reception of signal transmissions for use in mobile device position location estimation. For example, a mobile device may use assistance data to identify a first signal to be transmitted over a first frequency band and a second signal to be transmitted over a second frequency band during a specific period of time. At least a portion of the second frequency band may be outside of the first frequency band. The mobile device subsequently attempts to opportunistically receive at least the first signal and the second signal via a receiver tuned to a reception frequency band that encompasses at least the first frequency band and the second frequency band. The mobile device may then process the opportunistically received signals to obtain measurements corresponding to at least the first and second signals.

  • Publication number: 20190340261
Abstract: A data storage site receives data from different data producer sites. Each of the data producer sites has a particular relationship to the data storage site, and each particular relationship carries corresponding data storage policies, constraints and commitments. When a data storage site receives a data storage request from a data producer, and that particular data is already present from a prior storage operation at the data storage site, the characteristics of the policies, constraints and commitments that were applied when that data was saved by the prior storage operation are reconciled with the policies, constraints and commitments of the requesting data producer. Deduplication logic reconciles different sets of policies, constraints and commitments such that the data can be effectively deduplicated by saving data-producer-specific metadata. Alternatively, the data can be effectively deduplicated by promoting the storage of the data so it covers a broader set of policies, constraints and commitments.
