  • Publication number: 20250209147
Abstract: In aspects of authentication based on modulated auditory input, a computing device implements an auditory authentication manager that receives an auditory input as an account access request, such as via a user interface on a mobile device. A voice modulation system of the auditory authentication manager modulates the auditory input to generate a modulated auditory input. The auditory authentication manager can then compare the modulated auditory input to stored modulated voice data, such as generated from an initial auditory input previously received as provided by a user of the mobile device. The auditory authentication manager can authenticate the auditory input for the account access request based at least in part on the comparison of the modulated auditory input to the modulated voice data.

  • Patent number: 12340069
Abstract: Techniques for screenshot capture based on content type are described and are implementable to enable a screenshot of content displayed on a device to be captured based on a content type for the content. The described implementations, for instance, automatically determine a content type for content displayed on a device and capture a screenshot based on the content type, such as whether the content represents static content or dynamic content. Further, implementations enable a query to be utilized to determine whether to generate one or more of a static screenshot of visual content or a dynamic screenshot of visual content.

  • Publication number: 20250202766
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method autonomously updates/modifies device features and/or settings for use in a new location having specific requirements for device usage. The device processor executes code to: determine that a user of the electronic device will be travelling from a first location having the first set of location specific requirements to a second location having a second set of location specific requirements; and identify the second set of location specific requirements corresponding to the second location. In response to at least one of a time trigger or a location trigger corresponding to the electronic device being moved to the second location, the processor autonomously modifies one or more device features associated with the second set of location specific requirements to enable the electronic device to operate according to the second set of location specific requirements while the electronic device is in the second location.

  • Patent number: 12326761
Abstract: An electronic device includes a blade assembly with a flexible display and a translation mechanism that adjusts the movement of the blade assembly based on user input. The device detects user input and translates the blade assembly at varying speeds depending on the category of user input. Initial translation speeds are set based on the frequency of interaction and the user's familiarity with the device, with slower speeds for new or infrequent users and faster speeds for seasoned or frequent users. The translation speed increases as the device receives subsequent user inputs, adapting to the user's learning curve. The device also includes one or more processors that modify the translation speed in response to the level of friction applied to the blade assembly. Additionally, the device may comprise sensors to identify the source of user input, further tailoring the translation speed to the user's interaction patterns.

  • Publication number: 20250166604
Abstract: In aspects of simulating secondary user presence using voice modulation, a system and/or a media device in the system implements an audio modulation manager that detects an incoming communication in an environment. The audio modulation manager can determine to simulate a secondary user presence of a secondary user in the environment using audio modulation. The audio modulation manager can then delegate an outgoing audio communication to a media device for playback in the environment to simulate the secondary user presence of the secondary user. In implementations, the outgoing audio communication is voiced by a user in the environment, and the audio modulation manager modulates the outgoing audio communication to simulate the secondary user presence.

  • Publication number: 20250141992
Abstract: An electronic device includes an external panel material having an exterior visual characteristic that can be dynamically changed by a device-generated trigger. A controller of the device is communicatively coupled to at least one orientation sensor. The controller receives an input corresponding to a first context pre-identified as a condition that triggers a change in the exterior visual characteristic of the material. The controller identifies from sensor input received from the at least one orientation sensor whether the electronic device is in a first orientation that enables the external panel to be visible to a device user. In response to the electronic device being in the first orientation concurrently with receiving the input corresponding to the first context, the controller generates and transmits a change activation signal that changes the exterior visual characteristic of the external panel material from a first visible state to a second visible state.

  • Publication number: 20250142743
Abstract: An electronic device includes at least one external surface comprised of a material whose texture can be dynamically changed by a device-generated trigger. The device includes: at least one sensor that detects a support condition of the device; and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor and to a component that provides the device-generated trigger. The controller: receives, from the sensor, sensor input corresponding to the support condition; and evaluates the received sensor input to determine whether a current support condition is one that triggers the controller to cause a change in the texture of the external surface material. In response to the current support condition being one that triggers the change in the texture of the external surface material, the controller transmits a signal to the component, which activates the component to provide the device-generated trigger, causing the change in the texture of the external surface material.

  • Patent number: 12287941
Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product prevent inadvertent touch activation of a partially overlapped user interface (UI) element. The electronic device assigns, to a first image layer, a first UI including first UI element(s) that triggers a first response by program code when selected. The electronic device assigns, to a second image layer, a second UI including second UI element(s) that triggers a second response by the program code when selected. In response to determining that the first UI element(s) is displayed and selectable proximate to the second UI elements, the electronic device renders a display output including the first image layer and the second image layer utilizing a rendering scheme that prevents inadvertent selection of the first user interface element(s) during selection of the second user interface element(s). The electronic device presents the display output on the touch screen display.
