  • Publication number: 20220357910
Abstract: A method in an electronic device comprises detecting, with one or more sensors, a geometry or geometric form factor defined by an amount a first device housing or first device housing portion of the electronic device is pivoted about a hinge or deformable portion relative to a second device housing or second device housing portion of the electronic device, as well as also detecting, with one or more other sensors, multiple persons within an environment of the electronic device. One or more processors then enable, in response to detecting the geometric form factor and the multiple persons within the environment, a dual content presentation mode of operation allowing presentation of first content on a first display of the electronic device and second content on a second display where the first content and the second content are different.

  • Patent number: 11496856
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to techniques of assigning a mobility factor to the user based on the spatial movement data. In one example, the technique may include four phases for assigning the mobility factors to the users. In a first phase, spatial movement data from a plurality of user devices assigned to a plurality of users may be received. In a second phase, spatial movement behavior for a set of user devices may be assessed using the received spatial movement data of the members of the set using machine learning techniques. In a third phase, user devices may be selected based on the assessed spatial movement behavior using machine learning techniques for reconfiguration. Finally, at a four phase, the selected user devices may be reconfigured.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for peer booting server nodes on an edge zone. For example, an edge zone may include data plane devices capable of hosting virtual machines and other cloud-based services thereon that provide low-latency services to customers of a cloud computing system. Systems described herein implement an operating system (OS) provisioning system that, in combination with a peer booting system on a server node, facilitates instantiation of an OS on the server node as well as enabling the server node to act as an OS provider service to other server nodes on the edge zone. The systems disclosed herein facilitate fast installation of OS services without overutilizing limited bandwidth resources of a virtual network that connects the server nodes with control plane devices remotely maintained at a datacenter.

  • Publication number: 20220343464
Abstract: ROI (Region of Interest) detection is an important step in extracting relevant information from a document image. Such images are very high-resolution images in nature and size of images is in order of megabytes, which makes text detection pipeline very slow. Traditional methods detect and extract ROI from images, but these work only for specific image types. Other approaches include deep learning (DL) based methods for ROI detect which need intensive training and require high end computing infrastructure/resources with graphical processing unit (GPU) capabilities. Systems and methods of the present disclosure perform ROI extraction by partitioning input image into parts based on its visual perception and then classify the image in first or second category. Region of interest is extracted from a resized image based on the classification by applying image processing techniques. Further, the system determines whether the input image is a pre-cropped image or a normal scanned image.

  • Patent number: 11481362
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing storing of data in a data storage system using a client tag. In some examples, a first portion of a data load as part of a transaction and a client identifier that uniquely identifies a client is received from the client at a data storage system. The transaction can be tagged with a client tag including the client identifier and the first portion of the data load can be stored in storage at the data storage system. A first log entry including the client tag is added to a data storage log in response to storing the first portion of the data load in the storage. The first log entry is then written from the data storage log to a persistent storage log in persistent memory which is used to track progress of storing the data load in the storage.
