  • Publication number: 20250136531
Abstract: Processes integrating electric heaters or other heating sources for heating of liquid and two phase hydrocarbon streams resulting in reduced CO2 emissions are described. The processes shift a portion of the fired heater duty to an electric heater or other heat source. All or a portion of a vapor stream from a two phase separator is heated or superheated by an electric heater or other heat source to provide sufficient temperature that the heated/superheated vapor stream acts as a heat source to a bottom or side draw stream from a column. The preheated bottom or side draw stream is sent to the fired heater.

  • Publication number: 20250067516
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses for heating a process fluid. The process fluid flow through a convection section and then a radiant section. The radiant section produces heat and flue gas from the combustion of the fuel. The flue gases flow to the convection section to provide the heat in the convection section. The conduits in the convection section are straight. All of the fluid that passes through the convection section also passes through the radiant section.

  • Patent number: 10731090
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses are disclosed for treating a naphtha stream from a FCC unit comprising passing the naphtha stream to a naphtha splitter column to provide a light naphtha stream and a heavy naphtha stream. The light naphtha stream is reacted in a mercaptan oxidation reactor to provide a demercaptanized naphtha stream. The demercaptanized naphtha stream is stripped in a light stripper column to provide a treated light naphtha stream and a bottoms stream.
