  • Publication number: 20140341013
Abstract: A system for creating logical RLC and MAC PDUs in a mobile communication system includes first and second remote network entities that communicate using the LTE link-layer protocol. The first and second remote network entities include first and second layer-2 protocol stacks, respectively. The first layer-2 protocol stack includes first PDCP, RLC and MAC sub-layers and the second layer-2 protocol stack includes second PDCP, RLC and MAC sub-layers. During transmission of data from the first remote network entity to the second remote network entity, the logical RLC and MAC PDUs are created by the first RLC and MAC sub-layers by populating logical RLC and MAC PDU structures.

  • Publication number: 20140287399
Abstract: The technique relates to a system and method for learning and learning oriented assessment of at least one learner based on a role to be performed by the at least one learner. This technique involves identifying knowledge areas related to a particular role to be performed by the learner. Under each knowledge area different learning workflows are identified and relevant topics are mapped to the learning workflows. The performance expectation from the learner at each learning workflow level is defined. The one more challenges related to the mapped topics are created and presented to the learner to solve and a score is generated for solving the challenges. This score is compared with the predefined performance expectation to determine the learning effectiveness of the learner and a capability index is computed for the learner.

  • Publication number: 20090064151
Abstract: Scheduling of job execution, data transfers, and data replications in a distributed grid topology are integrated. Requests for job execution for a batch of jobs are received, along with a set of job requirements. The set of job requirements includes data objects needed for executing the jobs, computing resources needed for executing the jobs, and quality of service expectations. Execution sites are identified within the grid for executing the jobs based on the job requirements. Data transfers needed for providing the data objects for executing the batch of jobs are determined, and data for replication is identified. A set of end-points is identified in the distributed grid topology for use in data replication and data transfers. A schedule is generated for data transfer, data replication and job execution in the grid in accordance with global objectives.
