  • Patent number: 12192774
Abstract: A device is provided. The device includes: at least one antenna and a circuit. The circuit communicates with one or more agent devices through the at least one antenna, wherein the device and the one or more agent devices form a mesh network. The circuit periodically obtains a scan report from each agent device, and determines whether an OBSS (overlapping basic service set) airtime in the scan report of each agent device satisfies a first predetermined condition. In response to the OBSS airtime of each agent device satisfying the first predetermined condition, the circuit disables spatial reuse of each agent device by updating a plurality of spatial-reuse parameters for each agent device.

  • Publication number: 20240333586
Abstract: A controller in a network includes a server and at least a first agent and a second agent, wherein the controller is arranged to, upon an initial boot up of all devices, determine if the first agent and the second agent are onboarding, when it is determined the first agent and the second agent are onboarding, the controller is arranged to wait to receive respective status messages from the first agent and the second agent, consolidate information in the received status messages into a single query, and send the single query to the server.

  • Publication number: 20240334211
Abstract: A controller within a mesh network includes at least a station (STA) associated with the controller. The controller is arranged to: set a plurality of received signal strength intensity (RSSI) thresholds respectively corresponding to a plurality of operating bands of the controller, when an RSSI of the STA crosses one of the plurality of set thresholds, performing a calculation to determine respective scores of all enabled links of the STA, according to the calculation, determining a best number of spatial streams (NSS) configuration of the STA, and sending an action frame to the STA for informing the STA to update its NSS configuration.

  • Patent number: 11968619
Abstract: Various schemes pertaining to minimization of target wakeup time (TWT)-based contention in mesh networks are described. An apparatus functioning as an agent collates TWT durations requested by a plurality of stations (STAs) to generate a total TWT duration. The apparatus transmits information of the total TWT duration to a controller. In response to the transmitting, the apparatus receives receiving an allocation of a slot from the controller. The apparatus then causes the plurality of STAs to contend for access to a medium during the slot.

  • Publication number: 20240049217
Abstract: A multi-link operation (MLO) controller for a mesh network includes: a processing unit, including: establishing a multi-link connection with a first non-access (AP) point MLO device within the mesh network according to an initial traffic identifier (TID) to link mapping and a channel list, wherein the multi-link connection includes an associated link containing information of all other links, and priority traffic is sent on a better or best affiliated link configured by a TID to link mapping; configuring a plurality of thresholds for a respective plurality of operating parameters of the multi-links; when one of the operating parameters changes with respect to the configured threshold, disabling traffic on the corresponding link; and performing traffic distribution according to updated operating parameters and updating the TID to link mapping for the multi-link connection.

  • Publication number: 20230336987
Abstract: Various schemes pertaining to support for different radio medium access control (MAC) addresses in Device Provisioning Protocol (DPP) reconfiguration in DPP networks are described. An apparatus performs a reconfiguration process between an enrollee agent and a controller of a DPP network without a reconfiguration authentication response timeout occurring in the controller. Each of the enrollee agent and the controller operates in at least two wireless bands. The enrollee agent is configured with at least two communication interfaces each with a different medium access control (MAC) address corresponding to a respective one of the at least two wireless bands.

  • Publication number: 20230336986
Abstract: Various schemes pertaining to optimization of fast connection, roaming and steering in Device Provisioning Protocol (DPP) networks are described. A secure connection is formed between a first network device and a second network device in a DPP network by performing an optimized network introduction procedure. Relative to a convention network introduction procedure, an overhead in network introduction frame exchanges is reduced with the optimized network introduction procedure.
