  • Patent number: 8479488
Abstract: A gas turbine includes a compressor with a plurality of pressure plates, a combustor downstream from the compressor, and a turbine downstream from the combustor and axially aligned with the compressor. The combustor produces combustion gases that flow to the turbine. A first manifold connected to the combustor contains a first process gas for combustion in the combustor. A second manifold connected upstream of the turbine contains a second process gas, and a portion of the second process gas flows to the plurality of pressure plates.

  • Publication number: 20120204573
Abstract: A system for producing a hydrogen enriched fuel includes a gas turbine comprising a compressor, a combustor, and a turbine. A fuel reformer is connected between the compressor and the combustor. The fuel reformer comprises an inlet connected to the compressor and an outlet connected to the combustor, and the fuel reformer produces the hydrogen enriched fuel. A method for producing a hydrogen enriched fuel includes compressing a working fluid with a compressor to produce a compressed working fluid and diverting a first portion of the compressed working fluid to a fuel reformer.

  • Publication number: 20120186261
Abstract: In one aspect, an exhaust diffuser for a gas turbine is disclosed. The exhaust diffuser may generally include an inner casing and an outer casing spaced radially apart from the inner casing so as to define a passage for receiving exhaust gases of the gas turbine. Additionally, the exhaust diffuser may include a fluid outlet configured to inject a fluid into the exhaust gases flowing through the passage.

  • Publication number: 20100071878
Abstract: A method for operating a system comprising a number of fluid streams and a number of components include a device is provided. The method comprises separating a cooling fluid from an exhaust stream discharged from a device and transferring heat to the cooling fluid from at least one of the number of fluid streams, at least one of the number of components, or both. A system comprising a number of fluid streams, a number of components including a device comprising an exhaust for discharging an exhaust stream, a separator for separating a cooling fluid from the exhaust stream, and a heat exchanger is provided. The heat exchanger transfers heat to the cooling fluid from at least one of the number of fluid streams, at least one of the number of components, or both.
