  • Publication number: 20210312354
Abstract: A method includes compiling geolocation information for plural plant components, correlating a first geolocation with a component among the plant components with a task, determining, for an operator, a time spent at the first geolocation and a second geolocation, determining, based on the time spent by the operator at the first geolocation and the second geolocation, a total time spent on the task, determining an efficiency of the operator based, at least in part, on a comparison of the total time spent by the operator on the task with a correct time spent on the task, comparing the determined efficiency of the operator with a predetermined efficiency benchmark, and flagging an alarm if the determined efficiency of the operator exceeds the predetermined efficiency benchmark.

  • Patent number: 10248097
Abstract: The invention provides methods, systems and computer programs for optimizing standard operating procedure for a control system. The invention comprises (i) recording a sequence of control system operator actions, (ii) identifying a control system process corresponding to the recorded sequence of control system operator actions, (iii) retrieving a standard operating procedure associated with the identified control system process, (iv) determining a first set of deviations between (a) the recorded sequence of control system operator actions and (b) the standard operating procedure, (v) determining a second set of deviations between (c) a set of KPI values associated with the recorded sequence of control system operator actions and (d) a set of KPI values associated with the standard operating procedure, and (vi) modifying the standard operating procedure to reduce deviation between (e) the recorded sequence of control system operator actions and (f) said standard operating procedure.

  • Publication number: 20180276582
Abstract: A system and method related to a geolocation assist plant operation management system, utilizing geolocation with regards to components of the industrial plant and operators. The usage of geolocation provides for real-time information as to the location of operators relative to components that may require inspection. Additionally, the use of geolocation may provide warnings for operators to be cognizant of potential dangers due to the components or the environment that the components are located in.
