Abstract: A method including improving a property of a paper product precursor by adding a molten wax suspension to paper product precursor, the molten wax suspension including a suspension of liquid wax particles in a liquid solvent, the liquid wax particles being at a temperature higher than the melting point of the wax. The molten wax suspension may be added to the paper product precursor in a production line prior to making a finished paper product. A finished paper product may be made from the paper product precursor.

Abstract: A sand lime shaped product including wax mixed with sand and lime formed into a shaped product having a density of at least 200 kg/m3. A method for making a sand lime shaped product is also disclosed, including mixing wax with sand and lime to form a mixture; and forming the mixture into a shaped product.

Abstract: A method including winding a first layer of a material about a mandrel, and bonding a second layer of a material to the first layer with a bitumen-based adhesive, wherein an active component of the bitumen-based adhesive is bitumen, and wherein at least one of the first and second layers comprises a lignocellulosic material. Another embodiment includes forming corrugated board by bonding a corrugated sheet to at least one outer sheet with a bitumen-based adhesive, wherein an active component of said bitumen-based adhesive is bitumen, and wherein at least one of said corrugated sheet and said outer sheet comprises a lignocellulosic material. Articles made according to the methods are also described.
