Abstract: A method for improving an operational efficiency of a target system includes receiving, by an application lifecycle analyzer (ALA), performance information from the target system. The ALA determines whether the target system is experiencing or is about to experience or may experience a problem based on the received performance information, user activity details and historical trends. The ALA communicates a diagnostic event to a source control system when the ALA determines that a problem exists or is going to occur on the horizon with the target system. The ALA receives, from the source control system, development information that specifies one or more time periods associated with operations for diagnosing and resolving the problem experienced by the target system. In response to receiving the development information, the ALA communicates a build event to a build system, receives an application built by the build system; and deploys the application to the target analyzer.

Abstract: A system and method for automatic generation of parallelizable application units is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes executing application binaries and dependencies having a hooked application method on a computer node of a cluster of a network, receiving a context of the hooked application method from a client of the network upon reaching a hook of the hooked application method during execution of the application binaries and the dependencies, executing the context of the hooked application method on the computer node, and generating results of the hooked application method on the computer node. The method may further include serializing the results on the computer node, and transmitting, via the network, the serialized results to the client. In addition, the method may include executing two or more hooked application methods in parallel.

Abstract: A program guide data system is described that parses program guide data into data sections such that program guide data corresponding to a program is distributed into one or more of the data sections. A program guide data file is generated that includes the data sections and the program guide data file is communicated to client devices. In an implementation, the data sections are similarly formatted to include various element data types that contain the program guide data and/or are indexes to additional data sections that contain the program guide data.

Abstract: A media distribution system receives program data describing on-demand media content available from multiple vendors. The media distribution system packages the program data as electronic program guide data and distributes the electronic program guide data to one or more client devices.
