    Abstract: The embodiments herein disclose a system and method for federated service agent discovery in a pervasive device management system. The method includes receiving, by a discovery agent in a society, a request from a user agent for discovering a location of a service agent in the society. Further, the method includes discovering, by the discovery agent, the location of the service agent in the society to establish a connection between the user agent and the service agent, wherein the location of the service agent is federately discovered by the discovery agent by communicating with other discovery agents in the society.
