  • Publication number: 20230406979
Abstract: Electro-responsive hydrogel particles are flowed into a first wellbore formed in a subterranean formation. An electric circuit is established between the first wellbore and a second wellbore formed in the subterranean formation. An electric current is applied through the electric circuit, thereby exposing the electro-responsive hydrogel particles to an electric field and causing at least one of swelling or aggregation of the electro-responsive hydrogel particles to form a flow-diverting plug within the subterranean formation. Water is flowed into the first wellbore to increase hydrocarbon production from the second wellbore.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 23, 2023
    Publication date: December 21, 2023

  • Patent number: 11053788
Abstract: Systems and method for separating hydrocarbon fluids from water and solid material within a main tubular of a subterranean well include locating a transducer assembly within the subterranean well, the transducer assembly including a plurality of piezo electric transducers spaced along a length of the main tubular. Standing acoustic waves are generated with the plurality of piezo electric transducers, the standing acoustic waves passing through the main tubular transverse to the central axis. A number of loops of the standing acoustic waves decrease in a direction of flow of fluids through the main tubular.
