  • Publication number: 20250193117
Abstract: Solutions for decentralized distributed computing within a wireless environment. A set of local wireless devices (e.g., user equipment (UE)) can form a subnetwork with each other. The UEs can support various functions to enable compute tasks to be offloaded from some subnetwork devices and performed by other subnetwork devices. The result produced by performing the task can be returned to the devices that offloaded the tasks. A management node of the subnetwork can connect to a base station and/or directly to a management of another subnetwork. Compute tasks can be offloaded from one subnetwork, performed by another subnetwork or a network device (such as the base station or a network server), and the results of the task performed can be returned to the subnetwork that offloaded the task.

  • Publication number: 20250113271
Abstract: One or more processors are configured to execute instructions that cause a UE to perform operations. The operations include offloading a task to a first network node. The operations include determining a computation requirement forecast, wherein the computation requirement forecast indicates a computation requirement of the task at an upcoming time. The operations include transmitting the computation requirement forecast to the first network node. The operations include performing a handover procedure from the first network node to a second network node.

  • Publication number: 20240251281
Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components, including apparatus, systems, and methods for serving data traffic on an access stratum (AS) radio bearer (RB) using independently configured bearer flows. Having their own resource sets, bearer flows remove the dependency of processing and transmission, and retransmission among different traffic flows assigned to the same AS RB.

  • Publication number: 20240236803
Abstract: One or more processors are provided. The one or more processors include circuitry that executes instructions to cause a user equipment (UE) to perform operations. The operations include transmitting, to a network entity, a first message indicating a capability of the UE. The operations include determining, based on contextual information associated with the UE, an anticipated mobility event to occur during a time window. The operations include transmitting, to the network entity, a second message indicative of the mobility event. The operations include determining to make a connectivity change when the mobility event occurs. A network entity and a method are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240106571
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations for selective re-transmission of radio link channel (RLC) service data units (SDUs). In one aspect, the method can include actions of determining that transmission of an RLC SDU having a first sequence number was not successful, determining whether to re-transmit the RLC SDU, and based on a determination that the particular RLC SDU is not to be re-transmitted: moving a start location of an RLC transmission window to an RLC SDU that (i) has a sequence number that is greater than the first sequence number and (ii) has not been acknowledged, and transmitting a transmission to another device that indicates that the RLC SDU having the first sequence number is to be skipped.

  • Publication number: 20240106573
Abstract: Systems and methods are for receiving, from a transmitter, a transport block comprising medium access control (MAC) subheader fields and data units, the transport block being divided into code block groups, a beginning of each code block group in the transport block comprising an alignment with a beginning of a respective MAC subheader field in the transport block; and based on the alignment, decoding the code block groups of the transport block.

  • Publication number: 20240080661
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer programs for ciphering information in a physical layer of a wireless communications network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method can include obtaining, by a UE, a transport block for transmission using the physical layer, determining, by the UE, whether the size of the transport block satisfies a predetermined threshold, and based on a determination, by the UE, that the size of the transport block satisfies a predetermined threshold size: ciphering, by the UE, the entire transport block, and transmitting, by the UE and to an access node, the ciphered transport block using the physical layer.

  • Patent number: 10999330
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, and systems for management of voice services for user equipments (UEs) in coverage enhancement (CE) mode B. A cellular protocol stack (CPS) of the UE may indicate to an internet protocol (IP) multimedia services (IMS) circuitry of the UE that the UE is operating in the CE mode B (or will be operating in the CE mode B when it awakes from idle mode). The IMS circuitry may receive an SIP invite from an IMS server to invite the UE to engage in a mobile terminated (MT) call. In response to the SIP invite, the IMS circuitry of the UE may reject the SIP invite and deregister the UE from voice services. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
