Amr Abdelrahman Yousef Abdelrahman MOSTAFA has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20240106571
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations for selective re-transmission of radio link channel (RLC) service data units (SDUs). In one aspect, the method can include actions of determining that transmission of an RLC SDU having a first sequence number was not successful, determining whether to re-transmit the RLC SDU, and based on a determination that the particular RLC SDU is not to be re-transmitted: moving a start location of an RLC transmission window to an RLC SDU that (i) has a sequence number that is greater than the first sequence number and (ii) has not been acknowledged, and transmitting a transmission to another device that indicates that the RLC SDU having the first sequence number is to be skipped.

  • Publication number: 20240106573
Abstract: Systems and methods are for receiving, from a transmitter, a transport block comprising medium access control (MAC) subheader fields and data units, the transport block being divided into code block groups, a beginning of each code block group in the transport block comprising an alignment with a beginning of a respective MAC subheader field in the transport block; and based on the alignment, decoding the code block groups of the transport block.

  • Publication number: 20240080661
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer programs for ciphering information in a physical layer of a wireless communications network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method can include obtaining, by a UE, a transport block for transmission using the physical layer, determining, by the UE, whether the size of the transport block satisfies a predetermined threshold, and based on a determination, by the UE, that the size of the transport block satisfies a predetermined threshold size: ciphering, by the UE, the entire transport block, and transmitting, by the UE and to an access node, the ciphered transport block using the physical layer.

  • Patent number: 10999330
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, and systems for management of voice services for user equipments (UEs) in coverage enhancement (CE) mode B. A cellular protocol stack (CPS) of the UE may indicate to an internet protocol (IP) multimedia services (IMS) circuitry of the UE that the UE is operating in the CE mode B (or will be operating in the CE mode B when it awakes from idle mode). The IMS circuitry may receive an SIP invite from an IMS server to invite the UE to engage in a mobile terminated (MT) call. In response to the SIP invite, the IMS circuitry of the UE may reject the SIP invite and deregister the UE from voice services. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
